Why the f**k are Rovers even on that list? Ayr United will win the league and they'll win it comfortably.
vikingTON
Ayr will recover from the imminent loss of their manager to win the league. Promotion will however be denied as Greenock Morton are too big a side to go down and doing so would rip the fabric of the space and time.
No luck.

Is that an official rumour then?

He's certainly good at getting teams out of relegation danger.

Basically came to us dished out a few home truths to the likes of Michael Moore(he took time off for stress after Reid arrived...lots of hairdriers going about apparently) and then shipped out all of the duds and broght in his own players and now we're sitting 2nd.

We're having everyone from Kevin Keegan to John McCormack (again) but Reid would almost certainly be a major candidate. From the outside he appears to have done a very good job and would be a potentially very good move IMO.
Of course he couldn't say no - we have a larger gravitational pull. biggrin.gif

I still think we have what it takes to win this league.

As I did last year......

Best team we have played was Raith, although they need someone who can score goals. But I still think East Fife will win the league.

I've seen all teams bar Pererhead who probably will be there or there abouts come the end of the season by the sounds of things.
Brechin are the best team I've seen so far but wither they can mentain it or not is different. Can't see past Raith or Ayr when you look at there squads. Only time will tell.

We have been great this season and we have been shit, I think all supporters can say that about their team so far this season, I think there is not very much to choose from between the teams!!!

The only team that has really impressed me so far this season has been Peterhead, but in saying that, it was the first game of the season, so I have no idea how they relate now to how they did then and Brechin (in one of our many games against them this season) looked like world beaters in one game and pretty pants in another but that then links back to how i started this post!!!

You must have seen some terrible teams then, because we were dire against Stirling.

Best team I've seen this season is Brechin. They played very well against us in the second half up at the Glebe. Admittedly we were honking, but they played well, credit where it's due..

They're the only team that have really impressed me to be honest. I missed Ayr and Peterhead away.
Scary Bear
Stranraer.

They are just hustling everyone.
Spank the monkey
Judging on 1st quarter performance brechin.

Judging on who i support Raith.

As for everyone else bottle merchants laugh.gif

I'd have to say Ayr and Brechin look good right now, although we haven't played near our best and we're not far behind...

The cynic in me says we won't win the league, we still have a good chance though. I'm hoping their first defeat will unsettle Brechin and they'll lose it a bit. We've got Ayr, Brechin and Peterhead at home this quarter, we really have to beat these teams if we're to be in with a chance. Obviously we could do with beating everyone, but these particular games are 6 pointers. Beating title rivals could strike a huge psychological blow.

Heart says ayr but the but the button was clicked on brechin

Sure have. I would put Stranraer, Queen's Park, Peterhead, Alloa and ourselves on a couple of occasions into that category. Ayr and East Fife were a little better. Brechin didn't impress me in our first match (we were the better team), but in hindsight they were probably the 2nd best team we've faced. Raith actually played quite well in most respects, but their finishing was truly awful.

I suspect the first fifteen minutes against Ayr is by far the best you've seen this season. However, as was proven at the game, you don't win anything playing for fifteen minutes.

Ayr will win the league. I heard it from a strong source.

Can't believe Peterhead only have 2 votes.

Apparently they have less chance than Stranraer!

Peterhead's form against the teams in the top half of the league is actually pretty poor. A few folk said earlier on that they might be the team to beat, but their record hasn't been that great so far.

They were stinking on Saturday, but that must just have been an off day like we had the week before.

Pretty much agree with that, I was disappointed with Peterhead last week, I thought they'd have given us more of a run for our money.

Mind you, disappointed as I may have been you'll hear no complaints!
