A new manager will still be required in the coming week(s) we could still approach him I guess... but I doubt he's move to Dundee but who will be our next manager.

Sadly I think more concrete efforts to prize Chis away from us will not be too far away once the SPL teams start getting rid of their managers.

The Cup run obviously gave him a profile he might not have anticipated here, but we're maybe overestimating the impact of reaching the top of the table on goal difference in early October. Remember he's had a crack at the big league before and came up short (admittedly as a succession of managers did at Tannadice).
The Dundee speculation obviously had much to do with personal connections, but I think we'll have to really sustain a challenge at the top before there's much chance of others taking a look.
The only way he's going anywhere is by taking us to, or to the brink of, the SPL. If that's the risk, I'll take my chances.

Now if you had said, Queens cannot find a way to fund the ground improvements necessary for the SPL, we MIGHT have taken you seriously.

We're financially fairly sound with the money from a very good cup run last year and gates currently up 62% thank-you.

I think we cannot afford to turn down promotion should we be fortunate enough to win a very tough SF1. Tis early days though.

With a succesful team and manager, comes the inevitable rumours that someone is leaving for pastures new.

Chisholm would surely want a step up though to better his career - and to be honest Dundee have never really loooked like making that step up back into the SPL. He'd be more likely to go to Aberdeen, Hibs or Falkirk - should Calderwood, Mixu or Yogi get the sack.

Yes, we were excited at the prospect of a millionaire perhaps taking over.
Yes, lot's of people made assumptions that Gordon Chisholm would be our manager.
And yes some people got pie in their face for that assumption, but is it really worth 7 pages worth? Has Scottish Football got that tedious and boring you have to poke the finger at us for assuming our club was taking a step forward?
Sure some of our fans are idiots and you can have your dig at them for that but I tell you, your club has them as well, whatever team you support be it Celtic or Forfar and although we all have our nasty digs at the Old Firm that IMO is extremely tedious.
However, to laugh at a club as down and out as most Scottish clubs are right now with finances is worse!
