Feel free to use whatever
criteria you like but the following is an XI based on players who have played against us:
Paul Gallacher (Dunfermline)
James McPake (Livingston) - Simon Storey (Partick Thistle) - Billy Gibson (Clyde)
Callum Woods (Dunfermline) - Nicky Phinn (Dunfermline) - Neil MacFarlane (Queens) - Gary Harkins (Partick Thistle) - Austin McCann (Dunfermline)
Andy Kirk (Dunfermline) - Leigh Griffiths (Livingston)
A few guys like Harris and Bayne unlucky to miss out.
As I say, that is based on performances against Saints but you can use whatever
criteria you like.

Guys like Griffiths and Stephen Robertson might be in the divisional side, but either they've not impressed against us, or they've not played. I also couldn't think of anyone better than Harkins, despite him being off his game for about half of those.
Cameron Bell(QOTS)
James McPake(Livi) Dominic Shimmin(Morton) Ian Maxwell(Thistle)
Dave McKay(Livi) Richie Hart (County) Murray Davidson(Livi) Gary Harkins(Thistle) Robert Harris(QOTS)
Calum Elliot(Livi) Stephen Dobbie(QOTS)
Storey, Bayne and Billy Gibson are unlucky to miss out despite impressing in games involving us. Scott Gemmill of Clyde was pretty good viewing as well.

From what i've seen (not seen Livi yet so won't include any of their players)
Robert Douglas (Dundee)
Simon Storey (Partick) , Craig Sives (QOS) , Billy Gibson (Clyde) , Eddie Malone (Dundee)
Chris Millar (St Johnstone) , Gary Harkins (Partick) , Nick Phinn (Dunfermline) , Jim McAllister (Morton)
Mickael Antione Curier (Dundee) , Stephen Dobbie (QOS)

Paul Gallacher
Dominic Shimmin - Chris Innes - Ian Maxwell
Chris Millar - Gary Harkins - Neil McFarlane - Scott McLaughlin - Tony McParland
Leigh Griffiths - Simon Lynch
If we're not counting our own players, McPake in for Shimmin.
I know that Millar's not a wing back and McParland didn't play there against us, but I was struggling to fit everyone in. I still think McLaughlin'll be poor at Airdrie, but he did have a great game against us.

i have to be honest and say i'm a bit of an ignoramous when it comes to rating opposition players so i couldn't post a team of my own, but it's good to see Nick Phinn getting a fair bit of recognition in the middle.
I missed, or neglected to go to, the games against Queens, Dundee at Morton, so can't include any of their players. St Johnstone were exruciatingly bad at Firhill so none of their players are likely to feature. That leaves me with:
Robertson
Gibson McPake Maxwell Twaddle
McKay McKeown Davidson Cardle
Elliot Bayne
Not seen Livi, St Johnstone or Airdrie.
Tuffey - Thistle
Robertson - Thistle
Gibson - Clyde
Maxwell - Thistle
Harper - Dunfermline
McHale - Dundee
Hart - Ross County
McAllister - Morton
Craig - Ross County
Bayne - Dunfermline
Curier - Dundee

Elliot can't be far away from that. Is he next behind Craig and Griffiths, Nizzy?
For me, there have been few outstanding opposition players that I have seen as yet but I'd definetely argue that the league has improved from last year. From the teams that I have seen (everyone except Morton but we all know they wouldn't feature anyway

) these players have stood out. I'll limit my Livi choices to four.
Robertson (Airdrie)
McGowan (Queens) Robertson (Thistle) McPake (Livingston) Sives (Queens) McKinley (Thistle)
Millar (St. Johnstone) Davidson (Livingston) Wiles (Dunfermline)
Dobbie (Queens) Griffiths (Livingston)
Subs:-
Brittain (Ross County)
Gemmill (Clyde)
Clarke (Clyde)
Elliot (Livingston)
McLaughlin (Airdrie)
There may have been others that I've missed out because it's hard to remember the standouts from the earlier games.
Edited for change of formation and players.

As a matter of interest when did you see Parratt? He wasn't in the sixteen on Saturday. Did you mean Michael McGowan who was the right back?

I await abuse for including Greacen but he was excellent on the opening day, as he invariably is against Clyde.

He thought Simon Storey was a standout for us, despite never getting off the bench, so I'd just put it down to the naivety of youth.

Strange that the top scoring team in the league and the one with the joint lowest goals against seems out of favour.

Most of us are actually desperate for Greacen to get fit again, but that probably says more about Harding's form than it does about Greacen's ability.
Personally I didn't think Greacen was great on the first day, but he wasn't bad and I'm hopeful that he'll be able to form a solid partnership with Shimmin at the back.

Indeed it was McGowan. Sorry, I was just assuming it was Parratt because I knew that he or Barr usually plays there (I knew it wasn't Barr).

I finally understand the whooosh that Nizzy gave me now

. You Thistle fans are incredibly harsh

.
Edit:- I thought we had a sort of mutual respect going for each other after the "Arshavin to Dundee" threads etc. It's apparent that you have just forgotten all of that now

Bit biased but Airdrie and Clyde were pretty woeful when the were playing us, as were Ross County.
