That's true, and I agree but I don't think Livi can ever maintain that sort of crowd. surely people who usually sit in the centre of the park wont mind moving for a couple of games if it means saving a decent amount?

Bollox. There is no reason Livi can't maintain a crowd of 3-4000 if you look at their potential catchment area. There are enough floating football fans out there with pseudo allegiances to the old firm and fans who don't attend regularly due to the costs involved.
It's all about determination allied with sound short, medium and long term marketing plans. These plans need to be adaptable in relation to the on park product which will clearly have an effect on the attendance.
It riles me when plans like this are knocked by fans of other clubs. Clubs at this level should be applauded for any attempts they make to get more bodies through the door. If even one armchair old firm fan gives up and attends Almondvale regularly then it is a step in the right direction. Is any poster on this forum happy watching the Rangers and Celtic buses streaming out of their town on a Saturday morning? I'm not. There is a hard core of negative posters on here who can't wait to knock any positive idea that a club comes up with. Will this idea work? Who knows but at least somebody is doing something to get more people watching the game. How can that be bad?????
Muggy, wasn't picking on you in particular other than your point about maintaining crowd sizes. That is possible.
Would also like to commend Dunfermline for their promotion for U-16s.
