That could depends how long Mussie can keep 11 boys on the park.

I'll be off to Lithgae v The Knuckledraggers (Bathgate) this could be a big game in deciding who wins the super league. I hope Lithgae can keep their momentum going. It probably wont be a big game in terms of the crowd as no doubt he knuckledraggers will be lucky to fill their suporters club tamdom!

Spartans v Pollok is also a big game for junior football.

I too am off to Prestonfield to enjoy some wit and banter with Messrs Love, Mcgrillen and Mcphee - its one of those games where a warm welcome awaits them!!!

Spartans v Pollok is without a doubt the junior game of the day. Would love Mr Sinnett to fall at the first hurdle but just cant see it. I think Spartans had their chance last week.

Beath v Hill of Beath is the tie of the round in my opinion in the Scottish Junior Cup.

That would be Beith, we get sensitive about that down our way and don't start us on the pronunciation!

Its the tie of the round in the cup for me, although game of the day is Spartans v Pollok.

C'mon the teams in Black and White!

Good grief - the man had his faults but was winning the Junior Cup twice in 6 years as well as losing in extra time of a 3rd final (as opposed to winning it once in the rest of the club's history) not good enough for you????

I was far from his greatest fan but I hope he and Pollok reach at least the 4th round this season.

However, I commend you on your banter targets! Intae them!!!

Come on now, it's Juniors versus EoS. In the bigger picture, don't you want the Juniors to do well in the Cup? It could have a knock-on benefit for the likes of the Rose.

Personally, I have a soft spot for Spartans and I wanted both sides to progress but the (bad) luck of the draw meant one has to go out. If it wasn't for the Rose v Bathgate game, I would go along as a neutral (but not for long, as I can't watch any match without starting to support one side). So for me, there are two matches of the day.

I have no problems with his record as manager - my only wishes were that he was a bit more personable during his tenure - I would have loved to have commended him many times on his results but found him unapproachable. I also found his reason for leaving highly suspicious given that he wished time out from football only to be back very quickly!!!

I hope the rest of the junior clubs do well in the cup - just not the one run by Mr Sinnett!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Willie Wilson and the big streak of pish left back will also come in for a load of abuse after some of their pish patter at the game up there last season. Mind you the wee erseholes in the middle of the park always deserve abuse for trying to kick anything that isn't round and white....Actually the rest of them deserve a good volley of abuse too for being a bunch of cvnts!

P.S. - their dug out is always good for winding up and bite everytime.

The big left back is Alan Neil and he will take some abuse as well. I for one will not be giving McPhee any stick. He has been a top player and is a decent bloke as well. There are plenty targets before him.

Yep that stands out for me too & I'm not just biased.

Our matches last season were all close affairs and both have made a decent start to the season.

BU's to win 3-2. cool.gif

Enjoy Stephen Allen refereeing tomorrow. God knows how many players will be left on the park at the end of the game.

Just be thankful that he is not reffing our match Sponsor !!!! There could be too many banter opportunites / targets to choose !!!..

I think perhaps the wrong impression may have been painted about the Rose v neanderthals match tommorw, that perhaps the good, honest, upstanding supporters of the rose are going to give unwarranted, targetted and abusive stick to certain knuckledraggers ?.... For the record, this is not the case !.... Such behaviour cannot and will not be tollerated at any ground at any level of football. mad.gif mad.gif

Besides, I can assure you that any abuse they get WILL be deserved !! laugh.gif biggrin.gif tongue.gif

Looking forward to our game at Lithgae tomorrow. We'll probably get beat, and get the absolute pish ripped out of us, and finish the match with nine men, but that's just a usual trip to Linlithgow. It is, IMO one of the best away trips of the season though.

The only Lithgae player getting stick from me, and quite rightly so, will be Sean Grady, as he is a money-grabbing ginger cheat, who basically laughed in our faces when we offered him a deal, before moving to Forfar and wasting a year of his career.

Bathgate offered Grady more money than Forfar! He didn't waste a year of his career, he was at the Rose at xmas time tongue.gif .

What i was saying was that Grady said that Bathgate Thistle weren't good enough for him as he was senior quality - but what do you know, 6 months later he's back in the juniors. He definetly wasted 6 months of his career anyway.

Will he be playing tomorrow do you think?

Yeah, as our manager has said before sometimes players just don't click at certain clubs. He was on fire for Bonnyrigg then struggled at Forfar and he had a slow start at the Rose but he started to come on to a game towards the end of last season and has been doing well this season.
I'd expect him to start tommorow

Is Love playing tomorrow? I heard he had appealed his ban but never heard the outcome of the appeal.

I haven't spoken to anyone since last Saturday, so I don't know sorry, but my guess would be that he would be suspended, as i don't think the appeal would have been successful.

It depends when the appeal is heard. If it hasn't been heard then the suspension is suspended until after the hearing.

i'm off to St.Andrews v Lochgelly Albert. Should be a good match.

Blackburn United v Lochee Harp will be good (I would say that) as long as the rain eases off.

EDIT: pitch inspection 11.30.
