Lee Robinson on a month loan.
GIRUY
One of the worst keepers I've ever seen not to play for ourselves. Luckily for St. Johnstone Alan Main in a wheelchair is still better than Lee Robinson.
not to bothered to be honest he is only signed as back up to Main as McLean has a broken hand.

Robinson is one of the names I expected. We weren't looking for someone to come in and play so that ruled out any goalkeeper whose parent club wanted to them to gain experience, meaning we were looking at either a third(or more) choice or an U19 goalkeeper, for whom the aim would be to get them involved on a matchday.

All we need is alan main to be ran over by a stray tractor and we can settle for 9th place at least.

But then we'd need to bring in another goalkeeper on loan, only this time we'd have the lure of first team football! Robinson will only play if Main gets injured during a match.

He might get a game if Mains hand gets sore from punching his wife.

Be careful he'll try to steal your berries.
He's here as back up. I REALLY hope Alan Main doesn't get injured for the rest of this season now!

This was the perfect opportunity for Allan McGregor to rekindle his dream of being a McDiarmid favourite. He will be gutted he has missed the boat and will have to play second fiddle to Neil Alexander.

Good job that we've only signed him for a month while McLean recovers from a broken bone in his hand then, isn't it? Alan Main is fit and able to play. You lot are going on as though we've signed him until the end of the season with the view to actually playing the boy. We haven't.

Robinson was excellent for us in the run-in last season. He's a great shot-stopper at this level, fair enough he wasn't too commanding and made a few mistakes early on, but his improvement towards the end of the season was impressive.
He came in for the last 8 games of last season, in those games we kept 4 clean sheets (we only had a couple previously in the season) and his form was a major factor in this.
I would've taken him back this season.

I don't remember the 1-1 at Deadwood being "early on", where he ran under the ball and Pat Clarke equalised ?
The worst goalkeeper since Andre Boa.
He was in and out like a rapist - all season.

And then in the last 7 games for us he was outstanding. That was his first game back in after a while out the team. He was a young player who took a while to find his feet, but once Wylie came into the club (and decided Robinson was number one) he showed he was capable of being a very good goalkeeper at this level.
IMO in that period towards the end of the season he showed he has what it takes to be a success at this level, as long as he can do that consistently he'll be a very good 'keeper at this level.

Ridiculous comments from the Ton fans here. Robinson made a lot of outstanding saves throughout the WHOLE season, but with his fair share of mistakes. As soon as Whylie came to the club though and he wasn't being "coached" by an inferior goalkeeper in David McGurn, he cut out those mistakes were out of his game and he improved week by week. Lee has the makings of a very good goalkeeper - at a level above ourselves!

funny thing is that main actually pulled up during the Airdrie game with an injury, but looked alright towards the end
