He is hardly protecting the fans, your statement regarding investment in the last few months is wrong I know this for a fact so imo you are "spreading pish".pm me if you want to discuss this further I,m all ears.

Why would I PM you? It's not wrong and that's is a fact, investment has kept us alive and the person who put the money in deserves so much. They are protecting the fans, they can not come out and tell us everything because we'd all be walking about depressed (results have done that anyway) in a way, they are also protecting themselves as I'm sure a lot of fans would have preferred a "Safety First" policy rather than taking a risk, one which at the moment is not paying off (financially and results wise.)

I would prefer to know if the club was in crisis sooner rather than later.

I hear what your saying and I agree but the club have taken a lot from the fans and the board are trying to deal with the money problems in other ways, which is really seeking large investment, I also think this is why the Board wanted everything under the one roof, to help with these cash flow problems.

Why dont you just come out and tell us what your sources are?

How do you seem to know so much?

That would be very stupid as I would not be told more information and they would be in trouble.

I don't know that much and as for the "the Board wanted everything under the one roof, to help with these cash flow problems." that was just a guess of why they wanted to do this. Dens isn't a happy place to be at the moment and I was in no way surprised to read that Rae will not be getting to sign any more players.

If you hate what I'm saying and believe I'm making it up then don't listen to me but their are serious problems at Dens at the moment more than a few bad results.

Not many other teams can afford to sign players either. It is true we have pushed the boat out this season, but I'm not sure if they would gamble this much, I don't think they would.

Well, in my opinion just having enough money to pay the wages of the staff is worrying and that was after a substantial donation to the club.

But why would we sign players like, Antoine-Curier on 3 year deals, etc...? It doesn't make sense. Also, why did the board allow us to sign Darren Williams on a longer contract, and not just a monthly one?

I can't understand how such problems should arise, if what you say is true.

Is your dad, John Bennet? ph34r.gif

No, seriously, It's not difficult to foresee that signing players on lengthy contracts will hamper the club in the future, if they know investment is not always welcoming. Also, in order to break even we would have to cut the wage bill by 40%, so didn't they consider this?

I'm not saying you are telling lies, but it just doesn't add up.

No, my dad's not John Bennett laugh.gif laugh.gif

I agree with you, it doesn't add up but I can only hazard a guess that they expected investment throughout the year and were expecting more season ticket sales (which Brannan mentioned previously) maybe it's a short term thing, I don't know the ins and outs of the situation maybe later into the season things will improve but at the moment we have been struggling. My source, I trust but they did say they are only 90% sure this is true but their 90% if enough for me.

Oh come on now, don't forget the classics. Remember, he did say that Edgar Davids was in Dens Park ready to sign a contract just waiting for Di Stefano to send the money laugh.gif
