Well onwards and hopefully upwards. Will be a tougher game against Airdrie than the game we just played so we will have to improve again. They don,t score many but then they don't concede many either( scored 7, lost 6 in 8 games) so I predict a tight contest with the first goal ( if indeed there is one) being ultra important.I hope you guys bring a good support through and we can maybe get a bit of atmosphere going unlike the away fans on Saturday.
I,d stick with the same starting eleven if possible although Rusty might be a doubt as it says on the official site that he left the park on crutches after the Dees game( if he,s not fit then I'd put Ando in there if he's fit).Holmes defo plays better coming off the bench.Continuity is good for moral.
So it has to be.
Main
Irvine, Rusty,(Ando), Caff, Craig.
Millar, Hardie, Sheerin, Swanks.
Savo,Sammy.
Subs. McLean,Holmes,Mooner, Ando(Morgan),Jacko.
What's the score with Morris and Big Kev?? Are both still a few weeks away from fitness??
No place in the squad for Peaso ( again), McKoy and Morgan if Rustys fit.
Come on you Saints........

dont know how many fans we will bring didnt bring a lot to dingwall and with us losing that game it might mean we bring even less
this is an important game dont want to lose it as then the teams below us will start to catch up with us 1-0 airdrie

0-0 or 1-1 but if anyone is going to win it'll be Saints. Will happily eat my words though.

Airdrie will scrape this one.
A narrow saints win, with us going with the same 11 and subs as last game would do me. Maybe put Anderson on the bench for Moon or Morgan.
We really have to win IMO to keep up with those at the top.

Saints are due to give someone a right good hiding. Alas it won't be Clydebank but we'll still beat them two-nil.

not too confident for this game, can see a big scoreline on saturday. although my heart says 2-1 to airdrie, i'm afraid my head says 3-0 to the saints. if hazley is back that might strengthen the defence altho i'm not saying its all down to one man. i think he's back, isn't he?

Never any easy game for us against Airdrie and I don't expect Saturday to be any different. If our attitude isn't spot on, we'll be back in the same situation we found ourselves in towards the end of August. It's clear where Airdrie's strengths lie and they'll no doubt play to those on Saturday but I feel we've got a bit more creativity and variety in midfield these days, so hopefully we can create enough chances to win the game.
On the face of it, I'd have said it should be the same side as last Saturday, using the 4-4-2 deployed in the second half but whilst Holmes definitely appears better coming off the bench, there is a temptation to start him. I suspect his non-involvement for the reserves yesterday means McInnes doesn't know himself which way he's going to go. Would definitely keep Craig at left back for this one as well.

Id go with Holmer and Savo up top.
Think Sammy has done well but this is the type of game for Holmes to start.

Might as well generate some interest.
Rumour reaches me that Tayside Police are on high alert, given the current climate, for any overtly fascist behaviour from the well known scum that is the Airdrie travelling support.
Might want to keep your silken Swastika hankies tucked in your bomber jackets lads.

I don't think there will be many Airdrie fans through. Nearly everyone I have spoken to have said they are giving it a miss. Even my dad his mates have decided enough is enough they wont be going back to Tayside and are opting for a drink in Glasgow instead.
Its a sad state of affairs where what few fans that do still go to games are being chased away by police and stewards.
Anyway back to the game I'd be very happy to get a point through in Perth. Oh yeah and I hope it isn't an exciting game I miss.

has to be a saints win 2-0 or 3-0
IMO Holmes should start as he did more in 20 minutes than Sammy did in 70 in the Dundee game
mind you the last time i watched a saints airdrie game saints were 3-0 up and Airdrie got back to 3-3 although the great player that was Willie Mclaren

scored in the 83rd minute for a 4-3 win
please dont happen again
if it does though

dont think i could really cope
Airdrie to spring another surprise.

If we have serious title aspirations then we simply must beat teams like Clydebank home and away.
I still can't see past a two nil Saints' victory but would love to see us put five or more past them.
We have to approach this with the right attituse. There is no point beating Dundee and not beating the likes of Clydebank.

Well here we are again.Match day and I'm very much looking forward to this afternoons game although the weather here in Perth is fucking miserable right now.Airdrie will pose a decent test of how far we have come and if we don't get the attitude and application right today we may well fail to take the full points..Coming into the international break , it's imperative we keep our excellent form going.Still not sure exactly what the situation is injury wise but we still have a good enough squad to field a winning team.I hope it's a great game.
