Based on the above odds (taken from Will Hill) I expected to look at the table, results and form and all would point to a home win. To my surprise the signs I am picking up is that Altrincham can go to Rushden tonight and pick up the 3 points.

Rushden currently lie in the unremarklable position of 10th out of 24. Altrincham currently lie 20th. This seems to be the basis of the odds. If you look deeper into the table you will that Rushden actually have a worse home record than most (including 20th altrincham themselves).

Altrincham have won their last 2 games and will be looking to take advantage of Rushdens shaky home form.

I am not saying that Altrincham will win tonight but at the odds available (genrally 6/1) they are worth a wee dabble for anyone watching on Setanta tonight and want a bit of interest on the match.

Altringham have only won one of their away games (first game of the season) losing the other four and have failed to score in them all. for this reason i will be leaving this game well alone. You can get 4/1 draw no bet aswell which, if people want to bet may be the better option.

The basis of my bet is more to do with the fact that Altrincham have just won 2 back to back and will be heading to Rushden who have a poor home record. They will be full of confidence and the 6/1 looks a bit big.

Im bored oot ma tits and I have a few quid lying im gonna bet altrincham with a goal of a start.

They are 7/4 with a goal of a start feck it I will go the whole hogg and bet them to win at 13/2

I've taken Rushden. Might put some money on 3-0 and 4-0 BIP.

£3 on at 8.6 and £3 on HT/FT at 16.

I would suggest that any team in the English lower leagues should not be priced that big (unless it's totally merited, i.e. top v bottom) - so for that price to be given when it's 10th v 20th is madness I feel.

Kudos to those who got on, hope it comes in.

I backed them at 8.2 prior to kick-off, and just layed it off at 2.32 at half-time.

Sorry, not a win. Altrincham did give us a good run for our money though and those with Betfair may have traded out as the were trading at 1.48 when Rushden equalised.

I take a moral victory out of this if nothing else.

It was a decent shout at 6/1 and I gota run for my money.
Anymore shouts like that for the BSP I will listen I should have went with my first instinct and bet them at 7/4 minus a goal but they were the better team.
