The format will be 6 groups of 4 meaning that the top two qualify automatically and the 4 best thirds of each group go through. So from the group stage to the round of 16 you'll only have teams that finished bottom that bow out (more or less, the other 2 thirds will be eliminated as well).
This pretty much crushes our chances of hosting the tournament alone but increases our chances of qualifying.
