East Fife have announced a discount scheme for the forthcoming match against Raith Rovers. Fans attending next weeks home game v Stranraer will get a voucher which will will entitle them to a ticket for the Raith game at a cost of £12.
Anyone without a voucher will have to pay £22 at the gate.

Sorry to all RR fans but this is no wind up! I was absolutely gobsmacked when it was announced today! I can see this one going to the SFL. Wouldn't blame the Rovers for doing exactly the same to us in January & I for one won't pay that sort of money! Really can't see the logic in this at all

Rovers will receive NO MORE than 500 tickets. They made £15,000 out of us when we were at Starks Park. We charge 500 @ £22 and make £11,000.
Suppose it now makes sense.

In a way it's genius because if Raith fans want the cheaper ticket they have to give us additional money anyway and then miss a Rovers away game.

Plus they may be vouchers just for the home end and Willie will get any Raith fans in our end kicked out on the day.

I'm not concerned by the price. I'll happily pay £22 to watch the Rovers any time they play. If £22 is the cost i'll have to pay to follow my team then i'll pay it. If East Fife don't want to sell their capacity out then fair enough because this is exactly what will happen. People won't be happy at having to sit through a game against Stranraer when they want to go to the one game against Raith. At the end of the day, we should just keep with out policy of £14 and they get the North stand because we'll get enough money out of that one stand than they will from Bayview.

As has been said, this will end in tears for fans on both sides. But i'd ask my fellow Raith supporters simply to pay the money, simply because it is what Willie is trying to stop you from doing. Even better if we had people in their end taking their seats. if they get turfed out then it'll leave hundreds of empty seats and 500 or so Raith fans singing away. I can't afford that, at all. I don't really care what Willie Gray does or does not want me to do. I would possibly try and get the money together if it was going to the Rovers, but there's no chance I'm giving £22 to another football club, whoever they are.

Football is too expensive, I think that's generally agreed, and £14 at Stark's is a good example of it, but stunts like this, whatever the motive, are killing the game.

On the contrary I ask fellow supporters not to pay this and boycott the game or either go along and stand outside in protest.Those that pay the price quoted(which I think is a wind up) are only lining the brown envelope.EF will be the losers at the end of the day as they won`t fill there ground without the away support.
