Think it's fair to say we were a bit lucky today to get the win...

A tad lucky. We defended excellently and took our only clear cut chance. DC was magnificent, he had absolutely no right to save that one off the post!

When you're down the bottom the ball always comes down on the wrong side of the crossbar

Your goalie getting motm summed it up for me

By the way did the pigeon survive it's assault from your defender (No 5 I think)

Haha....I actually watched the pigeon for a few minutes without realising, thats how bad the game was. It kept wandering into an offside position, hope Gardiner doesn't give it a contract.

I saw it wander off the pitch at half time.

We'll play better and lose; Alloa will play worse and win. Typical match between two sides struggling for points. I think we have it in us to do so much better but we'll take the win!

Alloa wanted to sub it after an hour, but it kept looking away when the coach signalled to him.

Pigeons are rats with wings. Broughie works as a vermin exterminator at the council, he was just doing his job.

As for the game, given how poor we were, that could be the best 3 pts of the season. When McGrogan came on up front he made a difference and Harkins' goal was a cool finish

At least someone was tongue.gif . Couldnt make it down to the game yesterday so cant comment on it but if you had said to me a few weeks ago that we would be bottom at this stage with only 4 points I just wouldnt have believed it. We have a good set of players and its hard to work out what exactly is going wrong at the moment. It needs to be sorted very soon though or people are going to get very unhappy with the management.

Not really that much to say without going over the same old complaints from the last few weeks and I really can't be arsed doing that again. Their keeper had two great saves, Andy Ferguson - who was pretty poor for the whole game - missed an absolute sitter and then we conceded a pretty poor goal - just bring the player down and take the booking if the opposition are breaking. If we can't start to turn things around then we will be relegated, things have to improve.

As has been mentioned above Alloa were very unlucky especially in the Second Half, by far the better team and although Brown Ferguson and Iain Campbell's long range efforts were brilliantly saved by the keeper our lack of a prolific striker is becoming all too obvious. Also the fact that teams don't even need to play well and beat us is becoming increasingly hard to take. The defence looked relatively strong but conceded yet another cheap goal as Paul Harkins easily ran through our defence before beating Ray Jellema.

Where we go from here I really don't know, Alan Maitland doesn't seem to be showing any signs of resigning despite being bottom of the League with four points. Will our Board sack him, my guess would be no. Still really like Alan Maitland and think he is a quality manager but every Saturday start looking for the start of a revival he can build on and every Saturday it doesn't materialise.

On the positive side thought it was one of our better attacking performances this Season and with a Good Striker and Queens Park keeper Crawford not playing like a man possessed would have taken at least a point, but we didn't. sad.gif

Never mind only the League Leaders away on Saturday.
