BOOB Stranraer Loyal!!!!!!!
There is not much happening on here so thought i would start something random laugh.gif If you had to support another Scottish team who would they be and why ?
Ladyfan
Nobody. I'd take to knitting or watching paint dry before I could support anyone else.

Sorry if that spoils your thread and I do think you are right. The forum has been a bit rank of late.

Berwick Rangers. Shit you said Scottish laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Ok, i'd say no-one. I'd rather watch Ladyfan knitting ;)
CALDERON
Ellon Utd, Fortmartine Utd, Cove Rangers, Inverurie Locos, Banks O Dee, Cove Rangers.
Buckfast
Whitletts Victoria .

Reason being, that behind Ayr United , they are the second biggest team in Ayrshire.

IK wouldn't support another Scottish team. I'd still go to games though, I'd just do the tours of local clubs.
turboshandy
I couldn't bring myself to support another team, I'd probably just do as Izreid suggests and go to random games throughout the season. Either that or just sit and watch Jeff Stelling and co evety Saturday. Or go shopping with the wife as an absolute last resort.
Xbass Threepwood
I wouldn't support any other team. I might go to the occasional local game (e.g. Stirling Albion), but I wouldn't be a proper supporter of anyone. I would just end up doing something else instead.
utdtillidie
Wouldnt waste my time or money on anyone else.

Apart from maybe Rangers or Celtic. Go along for a wee sing song every week and see a team win some silverware, get to travel through Europe with a bunch of thoroughly nice chaps and chapesses, get to wear my strip with pride for 14 days in a row on a Spanish island every year and most weekends when out in my new favourite 'exclusive' pubs. Living the dream.

I never considered it that way, plus you have the added incentive of feeling like you belong to something really important.

Senior-wise nobody....but id be temped to go watch the Vics or Troon juniors. I also have a mate who plays for Pollock so id maybe go along there. I couldnt bring myself to go support another senior side
davidkennedyshand
Whitletts Vics...and i've already dabbled.

Junior football is great value for £4 and you can also get a pie and a can of irn bru for less than 2 quid
AUFC#1
Irvine Meadow probably as it is my local club. Have watched them a few times over the past couple of seasons.
ARoverinLeeds
I wouldn't follow a senior club either, i'd go along and watch Kirkcaldy YM. Since coming back into the junior set up they've done really well, but their ground is next to Chinatown. A bit like apache country laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Me and you can start a singing section then as I'd be supporting the YM too.

I'd support East Fife as my senior club providing Gray wasn't running them.

I was trying to come up with a song, just rehash Raith songs. But how, any idea's?

Nah, i couldn't bring myself to go there. Besides you'd still get more supporters into Denfield laugh.gif laugh.gif

I'm drawing a blank too!

We could just prove that we are time served Rovers by picking out a scapegoat of the month instead.

Here goes (cough). WE ARE THE YM, THE YMJFC. huh.gif

Doesn't have the same ring to it does it, i'm glad we still have the Rovers smile.gif
AllanJM
Don't think I could pick another club. I've always had a soft spot for Aberdeen as I went to Uni there and went to the occaisional game (only if I couldn't afford to travel to watch Rovers and could use my mate's season ticket of course).

Would probably follow the majority of you into the juniors and support Glenrothes.
Ever the Optimist
Would probably be Dundee United if any at all. Because I cut my footballing teeth at Tannadice until the age of ten until I moved to the promised land of Ayr, and fell in love with the REAL United
Martin Nelson
I'd just settle for becoming a full time armchair fan.

I think I would do the same. I only make about 4 or 5 games a season as it is.
blue ayr
Two different teams every week, whoever was playing Celtic and whoever was playing Rangers.
MIFTHEBINO
I wouldn't support any other senior team, but I would probably go to a few Shire and Camlon Jnrs games each season. I would go to all the grounds in Scotland I haven't been too and start getting to as many grounds in England as possible as well! Add on getting down to see Spurs a few times a season.
Michael W
I couldn't support another team. I'd probably just go along with my mates every so often to watch Hibs etc. I've always said I want to visit every senior ground in Scotland, so I'd certainly travel around going to games too.
Lichtielegend
If, for some reason, I couldn't support Arbroath, I'd probably descend into a spiral of drug addiction in order to get a fix.

So, East Fife it is.

Dundee United.
Spend a lot of time in Dundee.
marf-1870
Ehm a would'nt support a team as such. Would maybe watch Stirling Albion ma old man supports them and I used to stay up there so have a soft spot for them. Would probably just travel about watching different games more than anything.
Stevo Fife
Raith Rovers for me.
Paisley Plumber
Could not do without following a senior Scottish team if, god forbid, Ayr went to the wall. There is no other choice in Ayrshire, I would not support the Great Unwashed up the A77 for all the tea in china. Looking at neighboring Renfrewshire there is a choice between Morton or St Mirren. Spent four happy years at Uni/Tech in Paisley and have relatives in Renfrew who are StM fans and always got on with the vast majority of Paisley folk, so it would have to be St Mirren for me.
King Kebab
Currently I just pick and choose what away Scotland games I go to, so I probably would just go "Full-Time" and go to all the shiteholes as well!!!

So Home and Away SSC trips for me, a few of the more obscure stamps in my passport and the operchancity to puke in new and exciting foreign climes!!!
GoRdY_b
It's got to be Annan Athletic for me.

Great wee ground, pies galore, decent social club, beer on tap? Wins hands down.

Agree, to do so would mean you're just a glory hunter like most OF supporters. Too much history v every other team to go and support another senior side. The football on show is muck anyway, all that keeps us watching is the passion.

I'd probably support Newton Stewart as it's managed by the Hiscus brothers from Stranraer.
farflung lichtie
Used to have a soft spot for Brechin long ago when they were worse than us. Grew out of that one.

Any other team followed would have to have a PROPER traditional ground - that narrows it down to about 8-9. If you exclude the other three Angus teams for obvious sanitary reasons that probably only leaves Alloa, Stranraer, Ayr and, the prime candidate, Albion Rovers. Sadly no longer Shire.

Until they move, surely the existence of Rovers is near heroic and thus most deserving of support
raithfortheleague
would have to say hearts as i have a late of mates who have season tickets and ive been to a few games
Scary Bear
Thinking about it, Hibs is 5 minutes from the flat I own and I have a few pals who support them. That might be a choice.

Hmmmm a very hard question to answer, tbh i could not follow another with the same passion, after the super Lichties, born and bred in Arbroath and my father and grandfather have supported them b4 me. It is in the blood and in the heart.......... you can't just follow another with the same feeling, can you?

I could never imagine myself going to linoland to support that lot, never in a million years.

If it wasn't Methilhill Strollers, it would probably be the Dons, who I used to follow up until I moved to Leven aged 10, or the Arabs, like the rest of my family.

I'd go to all the Clyde games. I know quite a few of their fans and they seem to like a good drink and sing song on away days. Over time, I'd probably learn to love them almost as much as I did Stenny
