I was just looking at the SJFA part of Football Central - and I see that RAF Lossiemouth have pulled out of the Junior Cup due to operational issues. Is this a regular problem? Does it hamper then often?
Also, must the SJFA refer to the (SFA) Scottish Cup as 'Scottish Challenge Cup' or 'The Senior Cup'...

It just depends really but i've not known of them having many if any games called off because of it but i suspect that they just don't want to take a hiding to be honest as they're gash! They never manage to have the same team out every week anyway because of work commitments etc.

I played Rugby League when i was younger and i think we played them once in the four seasons that i played due to them not having enough players due to shifts or being posted abroad.

I know - they should call it by its proper name "The Scottish Football Association Challenge Cup".

Exclusive: RAF team training for war are kicked out of cup by Scottish Juniors chiefs
Sep 27 2008 By Keith Mcleod And John Ferguson
HEARTLESS football bosses have been slammed for saying there is no place for RAF heroes in their cup.
The Scottish Junior FA booted RAF Lossiemouth out of next season's Junior Cup.
It's a punishment for the team pulling out of this season's tourney because 10 of their side are away training for postings in Iraq and Afghanistan.
And last night, the SJFA said whether they were at war or not, there was no way back for the Moray airmen.
A source at the airbase said: "Everyone is really angry and upset about this - it is an absolute disgrace.
"The guys on the team live for football and the whole of the RAF look forward all year to the cup games.
"There is no way they would have pulled out this year unless they were left with absolutely no option.
"Seven players have been sent away on operations crucial to their deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, where they will be putting their lives on the line every day for their country.
"To hand out a punishment like this is just beyond belief.
"You would have thought the SJFA could have shown a tiny bit of consideration for the job these guys are doing and the pressure they are under at the moment."
The team were due to play their first cup match against Steelend Vics next Saturday but called it off as soon as they realised the fixture clashed with a month-long operation.
The rap was handed out by the SJFA committee at a meeting on Tuesday night because the club entered this year's tournament but had to withdraw.
Corporal Miles Fish, the deputy officer in charge of the team, said: "Of the 14 players who make up my dream team, only four are available to play for the next month.
"If we had managed to get 11 players together, at least seven of them would not normally be playing in the team and would have been extremely weak players.
"We decided to withdraw from the competition at this point rather than get to the day of the match and be unable to field a team.
"The whole team are disappointed that we won't be able to play in the competition next year.
"The players who are away are taking part in a massive operation which is crucial to up and coming deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq and it was completely unavoidable."
SJFA secretary Tom Johnston defended the ban.
He said: "We were left with no choice because RAF Lossiemouth entered the tournament then withdrew.
"They cited 'operational reasons' and we accepted this.
"Unfortunately, we had to make the decision to bar them from playing in next season's tournament as well.
"There is a clear precedent for this because the same thing happened to Cruden Bay a few seasons ago.
"Yes, it is unfortunate but all clubs have to be treated in a fair and equal manner."
RAF Kinloss also used to have a team which played in the tournament.
But that came to an end following the 2006 tragedy when a Nimrod based at Kinloss exploded shortly after refuelling over Afghanistan, killing 14 servicemen.
I assume that the club will play no fixtures in October then?

Indeed. If they are all away on deployment, does that not mean they're goosed for a team for a wee bit longer than one week? or could it be - are you sitting down now - that the Retard are being slightly economical with the truth???
