Apart from being a DKB, he's gone from Premier to second division play off runners up without a stop in the the first division. I'm sure he'll be magic.

Good signing, actually, that could be a fucking beast of a signing....
or it could be that he scores 3 goals all season, after being crocked, 30 mins into the game on saturday.

a unique series of circumstances!!!
When did being an overpaid average player in the SPL become unique.
Theres countless players just like him
as for the signing, an Ok player who was never the same after the bad knee injury he got within weeks of signing for us

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/stats...mp;&cc=5739Stats. Seems to have a decent return per number of starts.
good signing, good deal for both parties, wales puts himself in the shop window and we get a striker to cover our injuries who should (fingers crossed) score a decent amount of goals at this level
Oooh Aaah, Gary Wales, say Oooh Aaah Gary Wales!
Could be a great signing, could be a bad one. Time will tell. Delighted we've moved to sort our scoring problems though, well done to the board for backing McGlynn, and well done to John for getting someone in. Best of luck to him.
Bet he's injured by this time next week.

Edit- A quick look at his stats on Soccerbase show he isn't the most prolific striker ever - averaging a goal about every five appearances. Almost half are from the bench however. Hopefully he'll show some form in this league with a run of games behind him.
Smith had never scored a professional goal before coming to us!

I'm slightly xconcerned about his wages though. Fairly young and been receiving SPL wages until very recently. I'm guessing he's not taken a massive pay cut because he always wanted to play for us.

Gary was at a crossroads in his career as he had opportunities to stay full-time. However he has joined us on a part time basis until the end of the season as he is going into a new venture which will see him bridge the gap that footballers have at the end of their playing careers so we are fortunate to get such a quality player especially at this time of the season.

My guess would be hes started a new company or a new job and Part time football would tie in better with this than full time football. Wales Wales Gary Gary Wales gets the ball scores a goal Gary Gary Wales

Reassuring that the club have addressed the striking problem at last, and looks like we've got someone who might do something.
Incidentally, in the Courier today McGlynn says Wardlaws injury isnt as bad as was feared and he could be back in 'weeks rather than months'.

No, no, no, as usual you chaps have the wrong end of the stick.
What Fat Wullie set up at SP was an account to save up and buy himself a TRUSS.
I know that sounds something like a trust fund to you thickos but it really is something entirely different.
The other accounts he set up were all with bookmakers but that's been well documented enough.

Perhaps, although I think we have a decent midfield this year, and it would be a shame to risk destroying it by taking a player out.

I have asked before why RR fans treat Willie "Adam Smith" Gray the way they do. It may be years before what WG has done for RR is recognised. However I can visualise the "Willie Gray Open Space" as part of your new facilities at Beveridge Park when you need to move on.

Ok, I'll bite.
How anyone can really say that Gray has done a lot of good for the Rovers is beyond me - look at the state we were in when he was bought out. We are currently paying a £3k a month mortgage for our own stadium, we could really do without that. The running of the club during Gray's time left a lot to be desired too, perhaps if the club was run properly, we wouldn't be in this mess.
How about you move on from you're continual obsession with Gray's time at the Rovers?
