I'm printing off some slides for my next lectures, and they're in PowerPoint (ugh) format.

Currently the lecturer has set them up so that if I print them off it will print one slide per page.

Some of my other lecturers set them up so that there are three slides per page down the left-hand side, and a series of a few lines to the right of each slide (to make notes), and I much prefer this way. Uses less paper and I can make my own notes next to each slide.

Is there a way of changing the layout of the presentation from the former to latter?

Muchos obliged.

Yes, when you go to the print menu, there is an option in the bottom left of the dialog that says "print what:". The box below it will have "slides". Change that so it says "handouts", and then choose how many per page (the option becomes available to the right of the box you changed). That will let you print 3, 4, 6 a page if you want.
