How many fans do Ayr take to away games?I doubt they'll bring more than 50.I think we've finally found our feet in this division,we're on a not bad run at the mo and I think,if we win this one,we'll go on to win the league.Optimistic maybe, but we are starting to look good.Fear us.We are the kings of Fife.

Well seeing the Fifers are sticking together..keep it in the family right enough
Should be interesting game next Saturday though.A win for East Fife will bring them right back into the promotion race especially as Raith or Brechin will drop points.Whereas if Stirling get anything from Peterhead it's gonna start looking tighter than a Gnats Arse in the top half.
Wouldn't like to call this one at all but i think one goal may settle it.Hopefully for us.

We apparently took 700 to Stranraer but for a trip to Fife i'd say about 300-400 seeing as we're doing reasonably well.If it was last season....less than 100.

Looking forward to this one. This is the game (in my opinion) where we'll see if we can cut it in this league. A home win is crucial against the much fancied Ayr.

I wouldnt flatter this post with a direct reply.
Ayr have another more important visit to Fife in a fortnight, when I expect we'll show the Fife how to send them back west with pusses like skelped erses.
PS - tho that might depend on us having a fit striker.

Put a 3 infront of the 5 and the 0 and you'll probably be right.

Andy C.I bow down to your superior knowledge.I am not worthy. What a quiet home support you have. You are basking in the memory of Jimmy Nic and can't see, before your very eyes,a team of journeymen pros who raised their game against East Fife as they saw it as their "cup final" this year against the championship favourites. You will end up mid table also rans as you have done the last 6 years.

Of the teams i`ve seen this season Peterhead impressed me the most. The rest (Raith included) very average, and at this stage this league is there for the taking with Ayr and Raith very much favourites but by no means dead certs.

So it started with the "Fife family" and it appears it's descending into another Raith/East Fife love in. Make up your minds
Gutted I won't make this one, but Ever The Optimist Jr. takes preference over all, and she hates football. For my tuppence worth, I don't think this will be an easy game...unless of course the five(?) East Fife players who wanted to play for Ayr on the Larne - Troon ferry actually do start playing for us. The quote from the Ayr players of "Can't wait to play them" might give a clue to the attitude of Ayr on Saturday, but as has been pointed out the Foo(d) Fighters are on a decent run and are beginning to pick up points. Admittedly their last two games have been against the weakest two teams in the league after Stranraer. Our away form over the last few months has been very impressive and I just hope we continue it on Saturday. Ayr fans don't usually agree with each other, but the general concensus of opinion at the moment is we are due to give someone an absolute doing. Hopefully we will start on Saturday and carry it on for at least the two following games to open up a gap at the top. Personally I'd be over the moon with a win, but I can see it being 2-2. It's been said before, but games that we would have lost in recent years, we are picking up points in this season, so Reid has definitely put some fight in the team.
Looks like Brechin have the three points in the bag next week and Peterhead should win, so our stay at the top of the league could be over. I hope not though.

Bit worried about this one to be honest!!!
As per the norm, we are getting into our usual magisterial stride regarding away games, but this game is at The Nou Bayview, a totally different kettle of fish!!!
I'm sure the players rise to the support they get from the travelling fans in a way that they don't rise to the same heights in front of the moaning old b*****ds at home, and even the hard-core of the away support struggle to raise an atmosphere in the mourgue-like surroundings of our ground!!!
God, I fuckin' hate our place!!!
