Is anyone thinking there are a lot more silly yellow and red cards this season already?
The guy in charge of Bathgate/ Boness game today must have yellow carded 7 or 8 players in a game that did not have a bad tackle in it.
Noticed there was a supervisor watching his performance so maybe he felt he had to perform for one of his masters of course. Total clown. These guys are ruining some games with their constant interfering and determination to be the stars of the show imo.

There does seem to be more silly yellow/red cards but I think thats due more to the stupidity of players rather than referees. The last two weeks have seen two players sent off in our games for excess swearing at officials, most bookings I have seen this season seem to be for dissent, kicking the ball away etc. Bookings that are unecessary (sp) if players could keep their discipline there would be less of a problem.

I'm sure the boys from Pollok and Petershill might have a view on this.

We had a shocker at Camelon a few weeks back. But today's ref was pretty decent. Often held back on his decision to see if play could flow the right way before pulling it back when required. Last week against Bo'ness the referee kept the lid on the game well and hardly produced a card. Same against Forfar and Glenrothes.

The thing that peeves the players is that you can talk to some of these guys and ask a civilised question while others are straight at you for dissent.

They'll say that the players need to keep the heid better but my view is that the players behave pretty much the same way every week but get treated differently. Still, the manager should spot when an erse is on the horizon and deal with it by getting a message to his players. If he doesn't he's not doing his job. That was one of Sinnet's failings - he could be as bad as the players.

Have to say that so far Jim Sinnet has behaved impecably on the touchline.

Any obvious differences since he arrived?

In what way?

The style of play has changed a bit, but that's perhaps down to the personnel we have this season.

I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I just wondered if he wanted to make his mark by changing everything around to make it "his" team. To my mind, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Good luck in the match against Spartans. Remember Spartans are the underdogs this time and they've been dangerous in that role in the past. You should be too strong for them though.

Nah, the system's not too dissimilar to how we played under Rab Sneddon, maybe a more direct but with a lot of flair.

A full strength Lok side should be too strong for Spartans, but a combination of holiday weekend, injuries and suspensions means that won't be the case.
