OK, here is one for Infowire.
Albion Rovers just beat Elgin this afternoon 6-1 with both Barr and Watt scoring a hat trick for the Coatbridge team.
Any other recent examples of two hat tricks for two players in the same team, in the same match?

We also had 3 players from the same team sent off today, has that happened much before? We couldn't think of any examples.
Surely it's the first time there has been a game where theres been two hat-tricks for 1 side and 3 red cards for the other

The Shire had 3 sent off against us in 2004. Pretty sure we had 3 sent off in a game against Falkirk.
Hearts once had four players sent of against Rangers in the 96/97 season.
Leigh Hinds and Brian Carrigan both got hat-tricks in Clyde's 6-1 victory over Falkirk in 2001/02.

Pretty sure you had 4 sent off in that game! I also have a suspicion you scored against us when you were down to 7 men.

The last time two hat-tricks were scored in an SPL game was on 20/10/99 when Motherwell and Aberdeen shared a goal feast but the trebles were split between the sides (Winters/Spencer).
Four days earlier, Viduka and Larsson each got a hat-trick against Aberdeen for Celtic.

if I remember correctly in the Scottish Cup a good few years back, Celtic pumped us 6-0 and I think 2 playes got a hat-trick, can't remember which ones (maybe Creaney and Coyne???).

Stranraer had 4 players sent off on 3rd December 1995 by our friend Mr Andrew Waddell at Broadwood against Airdrie when after taking the lead we managed to lose 8-1!
Can't think of a Scottish example but when my English favourites, Manchester City beat Huddersfield 10-1 in a league game on 7th November 1987, 3 players scored hat-tricks. David White, Tony Adcock and Paul Stewart. Even the visitors consolationwas scored by an ex-City player.

In Nov 2005 Arbroath beat the Shire 7-2 at Gayfield. Alan Brazil and Pat Clarke both got hat-tricks.
The only shite bit was former AFC favourite Derek Jackson was in the Shire goals. Can think of plenty goallies I'd like to have shipped 7 but not him.

It was Creaney and Coyne who scored the hat tricks. The report in the Sunday Post the following day was "The Tom And Gerry Show"!!

Dundee beat Falkirk 8-0 away in the First Division in the 70s. I'm sure Billy Pirie got 4 and Eric Sinclair got 3.
We also thumped the Bairns 6-0 away in the same season, with goal machine Pirie getting another couple.

Albion Rovers had four sent off against QP in 97/98, Queen's were one down before Rovers lost the plot, their keeper Stevie Ross was sent off as was current manager Paul Martin, Queen's banged in five in less than 20 minutes, David Arbuckle scoring a hat-trick.

It should have been the "Davie Larter Show", would have been double figures had it not been for him.

David Kelly and Andy Cole both scored hat tricks when Newcastle beat Leicester 7-1 in 1993. It was 6-0 at half time, but im not sure if they were both first half hat tricks or not.

How about 3 hat-tricks over two legs ? And should Robbie Winter's 6 goals count as a double hat-trick over the course of the tie(making 2 double hat-tricks)?

Ross County's 11-0 win over St. Cuthbert Wanderers in the scottish cup Season 1993/4 saw Alan Duff get a hat-trick, but he was not the star of the show as Brian Grant had got five in that game.
Billy Ferris with two and Robbie Williamson were the other scorers that day
Three hat-tricks were scored in Stirling Albion's 20-0 victory over Selkirk in 1984 - two them by the same player. Davie Thompson scored 7 goals, while Willie Irvine scored 5.

Well, by that criterion, the legendary John Petrie scored a quardruple hat-trick (he actually scored 13) in the Lichties world record 36-0 game v Bon Accord in 1885.
This was equalled by Archie Thomson of Australia when they beat American Samoa 31-0 in a qualification match for the 2002 world cup.
I also believe that a Racing Club de Lens player (cannot recall name) scored a 14 goal quadruple hat-trick in a French Cup game that Lens won 15-0

When Aberdeen beat Morton 7-3 (aet) in the League Cup roundabout 96/97 I'm fairly sure Billy Dodds scored a hat-trick during normal time, then Dean Windass scored 4 in extra time.

And I ruefully remember another 6-0 humping at Brockers in the mid 80's where Roddy Manley scored 2 OG's and was denied a third, but how I cannot remember, was it the bar he hit?
