30 of the last 31 points have now been picked up at home in Europe. OK so Celtic didnt beat Aalborg but they did not lose and did not concede a goal.

Teams will just go there and make life very difficult for Celtic and will not pose any attacking threat. This is not just AAB but also man U and Villareal.

It is commendable that Celtic have got the confidence at home.

However it is, as I said, nothing short of a minor miracle that we came away with 3 points from many of those games. We have been comprehensively outplayed in some and indeed, I’d say only in one game did we really dominate the opposition.

More and more teams will come and set up like Allborg did, and be happy to get a point. We need to learn to counter that, and thats been our problem in league games were teams have done the same before aswell.

Thats irrelevant.

As it happens, I have no idea how the original poster arrives at his figure.

Its wrong either way....last 2 season 6 out of 6 at home....

but in Saint Martins last year IIRC you lost to barcelona and drew with milan at home in the group stages. biggrin.gif

Are you all idiots are something? He's saying 30 of Celtic's last 31 points in the Champions league have been won at home. That's 10 wins. The other point would have been gained by a draw on the road.

We have won 6 at home under Strachan and drew 1 - that makes 19. We have lost all our away games.

In O'Neills last season we drew our last home game, won the middle one and lost the first one. That would make 4 points. We lost two away games and drew one which would make 1 point.

Prior to that under O'Neill we won 5 home games and drew 1 which would make 16 points. We lost every away game.

I don't get it, do you?

I didn't say he had it spot on with regards to the games won/drawn/lost, simply that I understand how he could say X of X amount of points have been won at home. That's what the bluenose and your fellow Celtic fan have trouble grasping.

Im pretty sure...hes claiming that 30 out of the last 31 points celtic have won in Europe, have been work at parkhead,,,,but its quite pointless, as it ignores all games that arent qualifiers, or out of the group stages which is the point im trying to make...

If celtic lose there next 10 champions league matches, his stat will stand...its not the most relevant.

But you've highlighted the 30 out of 31 stat and said that's wrong due to the fact Barcelona beat them. As Glasnost said, his arithmetic may be incorrect, but the fact they lost to Barcelona wouldn't make any difference to the number of points that have been won at home out of a total amount.
