Dont have a clue how this will turn out , weve lost the last 4 but it was very close in the games against Ayr and East Fife so weve only really been bad for the last 2 games (coincidence Paul Tosh has started in these 2 games

) .
Anyway the good news is that the c**t wont be starting fights with anyone on the pitch and just the kiddies in the stand as he is suspended.
Think the team will be
Hill
Rennie
Raeside
Bishop
Black
Lunan
Masson (hopefully)
Sellars
Gates
Flyer
Reilly (hopefully Scott but he wont be fit)
Have a feeling the crowd will be very poor with our recent displays so hopefully we get a win but i really dont have a clue which way the game will go so ,
bore 0-0 draw.

We've struggled recently and never really looked like hitting the heights against either Ayr or Peterhead. Gayfield's always a hard place to go, and I expect it to be a really difficult game, but i'm confident we will turn the corner soon, and I think we can do it on Saturday.
1-0 Queen's.

According to the Herald McGalshan is wanting 3 emergency loans for a defender , midfielder and striker. Im guessing the striker is Goodwillie but not sure about the other 2.

Don't know who this Herald McGalshan is ???
But 3 loan signings seems a bit OTT, hope you guys are no lookin for excuses this early
Seriously tho' always enjoy my trip to Arbroath, the natives are very friendly.
Will always remember the Arbroath boys outside Tuttie's clapping our bus away after we'd beaten The Red Lichties in our play off win 2 seasons ago.
It's what football should be about.
The game is a classic 6 pointer.
Lets hope the best team wins, and the ref has a blinder........and the boys from Tutties enjoy themselves either way
I know I will.

Goodwillie played for Dundee United last weekend, albeit from the bench. Would be a great signing for a team like Arbroath. Would be surprised if he went there to be honest!

FFS we NEED a striker........NOW! 1-1 and we nearly lost it! We should have won by two or three clear.

Enjoyable game of football, a lot of action, couldn’t of been much worse than our game last week. Felt we were the better team in the first-half but Arbroath had the much better chances. Arbroath were better team in the second-half, but we still had a few good chances, certainly happy with the point on the balance of play.
Penalty decision seemed a bit weird, was at the other side of the ground, I didn’t even see the referee point to the spot at any point, linesman seemed pretty sure. If it was for an elbow why wasn’t the Queen’s player sent off, a few Arbroath fans seemed to be suggesting that an elbow was used.
Thought Ricky Little had a decent game, nothing spectacular, needs to be a bit more composed on the ball, seemed to rush things, perhaps a bit too eager to impress, solid defensively though. Look forward to us using his long-throw to better effect in the next few games, overall he got pass marks off me.

I reckon both sets of fans will be saying they could have won it, so in the end I think a draw was fair. Good game of football, I enjoyed it.

Thought it was an enjoyable game also and, yes, I felt we could, and really should, have won it. We created umpteen decent goalscoring opportnities, particularly in the 2nd half, but yet again there was no end product. Something of a recurring problem alas.
It's stating the bleeding obvious again, but we really are crying out for another striker.

I think it was Raeside that had that incredible chance in the first half but put it wide, which I though was your best opportunity to get another goal. Even more than the penalty, seeing as DC
never concedes from penalties. Speaking of which, does anybody know if he got a touch onto that today?

I thought he played quite well. Was getting stuck in and making good passes as well. Seen a couple of the long throws which will certaintly come in handy. Hope we get him for the 3 months, we could certainly use him.
Good game today, and as has been said I think a point was fair to both teams. Thought we had more of the ball throughout the game but Arbroath created more chances, especially in the 2nd half, and the last 10 minutes were scary stuff!

Bloody hell, getting someone to take a decent penalty kick would be a help! Another two points thrown away.

How many chances do we need to win a game nowadays?
If we don't get Bryan Scott fit and playing and or a good goalscorer on loan we are in for a VERY long slog this season..... the Alloa and Stirling (Cup game) performances are a distant memory now....

Thought we should have wrapped it up when flyer hit the bar when we were 1-0 up , we created loads of chances and scored an own goal which is very annoying , Steven Weir puts in alot of work but he is not a goalscorer.
I really dont know how we didnt win tbh , we must have had 6 or 7 VERY good oppurtunities but just couldnt hit the net , although Sellars missed that penalty his free kick was a beaut.
I think at the end of the season we will finish above Queens though , next week is HUGE now.

There's a couple of posts in the guestbook on org site wanting John out.
Arbroath created enough chances to win the game with Queens Park having more of the ball.Good away support today, made alot of noise, with our home support getting less week by week.

What a surprise. I despair at our support sometimes, particularly those that post on that site.
I'm afraid that there's a fairly vocal element of our support who appear to be permanantly poised in anticipation for any excuse to direct their ire towards JMcG. He does still make decisions that I find a bit baffling at times, but some of the criticism he comes in for ridiculously over the top and tiresome to say the least.

Was an enjoyable game though I dont agree that a draw was a fair result. Yes queens had more of the ball but never really created many clear cut chances. Arbroath on another day could have had 4 or 5. (lets hope those days come soon!)
Football fans are a fickle bunch. I agree with Mel about McGlashans sometimes baffling decisions but you cant blame the manager when players dont stick the ball in the net.
What a pair of numpties i had beside me at the game calling salmond for everything, especially when he made the quick and sensible decision to stop the game for the head knock, to many shandies boys!? I thought he had a fairly good game and is by far one of the better refs we'll see at gayfield.
Before the game I was told that Weir wasn't a good player but I thought he had quite a few good touches and looks like he has a reasonable footballing brain. I'm not sure we need more cover we just need someone to start scoring.
Brilliant Queens support, keep it up.

Great away support by the Queens, but there was one of your fans "Stuck out" more than than the rest! She had long red hair, a black top, brown skirt and black legging and very large ...s!
Can we play you every week at Gayfield

I was under the impression that if you were from a particular town, you weren't allowed to referee that towns game. If that is the case, why was Salmond refereeing an Arbroath game when he is a native of Arbroath? I know he does not stay there now, but I'm just a bit curious as to the rules and regulations regarding this because there is a card happy bugger from Montrose refereeing just now and I hope we never get him.

To be honest he is better tha Euan Norris (Watch out for him!) Salmond was fair and you would never know he used to follow Arbroath in his youth, as we got no favours from him

I know he gave us six penalties and sent off four Queens Park players

We still would have drawn if that was the case
Strangest Ref was Colin Brown reffin Div 3 games when his dad owned East Fife!!!!!
