Couldn't pick a worse time to play them. However we seem to be better on the road and would be very pleased with a point out of this one.
Asuming there's no-one back from injury.
Hutton
Lowing Gibson McGregor Ohnesorge
McKay Kettlewell Emslie Waddell
Clarke Gemmill
Subs: Cherrie, Higgins, Ruari MacLennan, Trouten, McSwegan.
Prediction:
1-1

Aye, the 'keeper is the only thing I'd change as well, even if Wilson/Brown were available again. We need to start getting a consistent team on the pitch if we're going to go on a decent run.
I think we'll win 2-1. I expect numerous predictions of doom and gloom from other posters though.

I usually HATE making predictions on P&B because getting them wrong will inevitably involve a hefty slagging.
So, a conservative 3-0 to the Diamonds.

We have had a great start to the league, better than anyone would have predicted but I really think the next two games against Clyde and R.County are very important. Along with Morton, these teams are all realistic contenders for the bottom two places at the end of the season. If we maintain our current form that hopefully will not be an issue but putting as much distance between ourselves and the bottom clubs as early as possible is a must.

Sorry to say David our two centre halfs are even better than me !!!!!
seriously, defensively we are sound it will take something to stick two past us on this current form.

as previously said, this is one of our "bigger" games, most folk (including myself) is expecting the bubble to burst some time but if we can get enough points between ourselves and County, CLyde & Morton before it does then all the better. Hopefully the defence can continue to keep up their superb form and with the strikers starting to find the net it (could be) looking promising. hoping Hazely's fit to shore up that left side, nothing against Lovers but we need the better players to play the bigger games. not very good at the old predictor thing but i'll go 1 - 0 Airdrie.

With all due respect to Clyde, I think we'll be going into this game as favourites which might bring with it a different kind of pressure. In the past few seasons we have always tended to struggle against teams that are situated close to us in the league, so I hope we can eliminate that trend this season.
Clyde will be right up for this one given our recent run of results so think it's important Kenny keeps the guys focused and hopefully we can come away with the 3 points.

We'll likely start this one as favourites although the way we've started i'd say rightly so. It'll be tough though as the onus will be on us to attack being the home team. Still going for a 3-0 win and us to continue our march up the league!!!

Having seen both teams against us at home, I'd say they both play quite similarly in terms of closing down. Perhaps it was just scouting against us but I wouldn't be surprised to see both teams simply equal each other out. If Hutton plays like he did against us, I'd say Airdrie would probably win quite comfortably but I would think he's capable of better than that.
I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

Not really looking forward to this one as our injury list just keeps on getting bigger. The OS's saying that Brown's back, but Kettlewell and Emslie are doubts and face last-minute fitness tests. No word about Hutton so I take it he's still not 100% and will be a sub like last week.
Cherrie
Lowing Gibson Brown Ohnesorge
McKay (McLennan McGregor)* Waddell
Clarke Gemmill
*If Ketts and Emslie aren't fit, I'd go with these two. I'm not a big fan of McGregor in midfield but he's the best that we can do right now as Wilson's still out.

Paul Lovering is an idiot. Absolute disgrace and should never have been given the captaincy back. Hope Hazley's fit sooner rather than later.
Anyway, in saying that we were awful. Didn't have a clue what to do with 10 men and couldn't keep a hold of the ball. Second half was better when we changed the formation but the second goal killed the game dead.
Credit to Clyde, it can sometimes be hard to play against 10 men but they used the extra man well and kept a hold of the ball.
Annoyed at losing as this was a big game for us but it was our own fault.

I think you're more likely to get those off a clyde fan on the OS who predicted a comfortable win with Lovering getting sent off

. Gutted I never asked him for the numbers before I left the game

Great win today. Best performance I've seen from Clyde in a long time!!

Shit referee, over officiated a niggly game and was as consistent for both sides.
Well done Clyde.

Clyde were terrific today but the referee really ruined what looked to be an excellent game of football. Lovering is an idiot. End of. He was only going to get a yellow card for the elbow on Clarke but he talked himself into the sending off. Then, Winters doesn't send off Gemmill which was far worse than what Lovering ever did to Clarke. An awful display from Winters.
Onto the game, Clyde were brilliant. Passed the ball well (bar McGregor

) and generally didn't do anything badly. Waddell and Clarke were terrific as was Ohnesorge and Gibson. Ruari did well when he came on and scored a great goal whilst Clarke could have easily had a hat-trick. He smacked the bar, had a header inches over and a diving header just whizzing past the post.
QOTS next week at home and I'm really looking forward to it.
PS. How bad was Airdrie's free-kick at the end? Jesus, it nearly went out of the stadium.

Hurting tonight.
Can't quarrel with the result.... Cherrie didn't have a save to make.
Ref and far side linesman.......where do I start!
Linesman seemed to have refreshed offside rule at halftime. I recall on incident in the first half where there were three Clyde players offside in a breakaway yet didn't flag.
Ref. Should you read this perhaps to reflect on your performance would be worthwhile. Lovering is a sending off waiting to happen but applying the laws how many Clyde players should have walked today??? Gemmill an excerpt from Karate Kid 4 - yellow. Kettlewell more fouls than the Airdrie team put together - yellow Gibson - a chest high tackle on a player breaking towards goal - yellow
Take a free kick which hits an outstretched hand in the box....penalty: no retake the free kick because i hadn't blown for it to be taken even though Clyde had their wall in place. Another favourable interpretation for us ....cheers!!!!
Maybe a tinge of sour grapes but I think the only luck we had toady was Clarke's first half haeder hitting the bar.
Lucky white heather!
