Thought i would start this now just to try and help us move on from sat as quickly as possible and look ahead to another big game. I think we are in good form and hopefully will have at least McGurn and Smith back to play, think il go with a 2-1 win if we dont have Smith back il say another draw

I'm really looking forward to this one.
The team has a fight about it that seemed to be lacking last year and we are creating chances. We have a hammering in us but I dont think Stirling will be the recipients.
2-0, Weir double.

I'll take a flukey 1-0 in the last minute. We need the three points more than another good performance.
think i would feel abit more confident if we had a midfielder who could regularly pop up and score goals for us to stop us relaying on our strikers as much, good to see the likes of Campbell getting a couple tho

I think it will be a good game.Id like to see us keep a clean sheet or at least score first.I don't think it will be an easy game but i think we will win 2-0 or 2-1.Ellis header against his old team from a set piece and smith to score if he's back, if he's not then id go for sparky campbell late on.Stirling will compete the whole time though and possibly feel aggreived at not getting something from the game.I will then purchase a fish supper and a few tins and watch x factor before heading out to celebrate. As the last part is true i can now use my supernatural powers of deduction which i just invented to induce that the first part must also happen...spooky.Mon the rovers!!!!
would love to have dunbar back for the game, could do with a bit of pace on the wings and puts in a good freekick

Hopefully we can have Smith back for this one at least, he looks like the only one of our forwards who is capeable of scoring. Real shame Wardlaw got injured in the last game, I'd have liked to play him alongside Smith.
Hopefully our other injuries clear up too, I'd like to see Dunbar feature at some point if he's fit. We've had to without him for most the season so far, and I feel he can offer us something different.
Note to Stirling defenders - giving away penalties may prevent goals, don't see it as a last resort.

Should be looking to get a win out of this. We're due to granny a team sometime soon so hopefully this will be our game. Ideally Smith and McGurn will be back for this one too. 3-0 to Raith with Weir scoring 2 and Ferry getting a goal.

From what I read (admittedly mostly on here) it seems that Rovers rely disproportionately on set pieces to score from.

If that happens, I will donate £100 to Stirling Albion FC.
Stirling seem to be one of those annoying sides that, once they get a bit of confidence, they'll go on a crazy unbeaten run. They remind of... well, Stirling really, from two/three seasons ago.
Two good wins in their last two, and a creditable draw with Ayr the week before having been two goals behind. It'll be harder than some think, especially with that twat Harty playing for them. He's left us now, back to scoring goals...
Hopefully our major injury crisis will have cleared at least a little before the match - by 70 minutes on Saturday, we were missing McGurn, Tod, Lumsden, Hislop, Smith, Wardlaw, Dunbar, Sloan and an unfit Weir had been forced to leave the pitch. That's absolutely ridiculous, but there's nothing we can do about it. We need Kevin Smith back, otherwise Bryce will probably have to play. I know he's young, but he hasn't looked threatening at all this season so far. Hope to see McGurn back in as well, he gives me a bit more confidence than Gary O (who has done nothing wrong, just McGurn is our number one). Maybe even Sloan and Dunbar will make the bench too.
I'm hoping for a Raith win, obviously, but it'll be tough. I'll go for 2-1 Raith, Smith and Walker with the goals. Inevitably, Harty for Stirling..

We have always been a total confidence team under Moore for the last 6-7 seasons. The season before we were promoted we went 11 games without a win, bottom of the table looking doomed, then one win against Morton and we just missed out the play off's in fifth!
Hopefully we will go on said, winning/unbeaten run and continue that way like a few seasons ago (I dont think we will though- I would settle for anywhere from 3-8th this season!!)

We've done well at Stark's Park in recent years, with the exception of getting pumped 5-2 after being 2-1 up if I remember correctly. 2 - 1 Stirling.
Once again we

"dominate"

for half a hour then Stirling get a goal

"against the run of play"

. Straight after half time Stirling add a second and cruise till 85th minute when a Graham Weir penalty whacks off the post only for Campbell to header the ball into the back of the net from 25 yards out. 5 Minutes of panicked humping up the park at the end just leads to more dissapointment.

Still to early to predict as alot will depend on whether Smith is fit. Him and Weir together look capable of doing some real damage and getting him back (and persuading Levein to let him stay after January) is vital if we are to challenge for the title.

If we're to form a side which will challenge at the top then we have to keep converting situations where we may draw into wins. So far we've been successful in it but it is still an ongoing process obviously.

Oh fantastic my other half's only gone and found a dog sitter so I get to go away this weekend and will miss the game after all.
Still no word on Smith so will still wait for news on that before posting a prediction (can't believe nobody's started these yet).
Ok just read in the Press that Smith is 50-50 (recurrence of an old knee injury apparently) but we may bring in an emergency loan signing in time for the match. Also says that Sloan is back in training.
Based on all of this I'll say a hard fought 5-0 victory for Rovers

REVENGE!!
I've been looking forward to beating Stirling Albion ever since the play-off defeat and having to endure the taunts of the Albion fans as I walked past a bus stop full when I was leaving the ground
I hope that the "big game" fans left Starks Park last Saturday impressed and they will come back again for this game. Laurie Ellis said in the FFP today that the vocal support really fires the team up, so lets give it to them again.
Hopefully Kevin Smith will be back in time as we really missed him on Saturday, he's the sort of player that can make a goal out of nothing. Fingers crossed for David McGurn as well. Even if these 2 don't make it I expect us to win, 3-1 for the Rovers
I assume, seeing as there's no mention of him in the FFP, that David McGurn is fit again? He was on the bench against EF, but I don't think he was fit enough to play.
Hope Smith makes it, the FFP hasn't really cleared that one up for us. I don't think putting Sloan straight back into the starting line-up is the best thing to do either. Although, please McGlynn, at some point put Juan Guerrero on the pitch! At least give the guy a chance to show us what he's like, he won't get match fitness on the bench. I'd go with:
McGurn
Wilson
Cook
Ellis
Campbell
Walker
Davidson
Silvestro
Smith
Weir
Ferry
With a bench of Gary O, Sloan, Guererro, Bryce and A N Other.
And to be perfectly honest, we need this 'new striker' whether Smith makes the match or not. Whether we can afford one is another story though.
