We had Wee Willie Henderson and John Robotham on Saturday night, Frank Macavenie last year all decent ,just wondered if anyone else had seen anyone worth recommending or avoiding for that matter.

Dick Campbell was a brilliant speaker at the Dundee POTY night out 2 seasons ago, great stories and a genuine guy
jupe1407
Ex Motherwell player John Gahagan is absolutely brilliant.

Willie Young is always a good story teller.

Gordon Smith, in his pre-SFA days, was poor, and Murdo McLeod wasn't up to much either.

I was at one with Kenny Clark the referee who was absolutely hillarious. Really quick and witty.
P.C
been to one with John Robertson a couple of years ago, some quality stories and really good laugh

Kenny Clark is brilliant (but expensive) and Willie Young is good too, for a dour bugger!

At Dumbarton we've used Pat Rolink and Des McLean. Both were brilliant and whilst they don't tell traditional fitba' stories, the patter is brilliant. Pat has again agreed to Chair our next dinner - he's a brilliant host btw - and on the strength

I'd also recommend John Htet Khin - he's hilarious and a real gentleman.

Stevie regularly had me in stitches when I worked with him. Maybe he had an off night.

Joe Cammy is hilarious, also good at standup.
Dunning1874

I oftern think these guys must get bored of talking about Football. My uncle was once invited to a big rugby dinner a Murryfield and was sat next to a famous All Blacks player. Not having a large interest in rugby he spent the whole night in general conversation with the guy. At the end of the night the rugby player thanked my uncle for not talking about rugby and it mentioned that it was the most enjoyable rugby dinner he had been to.

I've seen a few guys in recent years. John Gahagan as mentioned was excellent, but I'm not going to recommend 'Roughie' or Dick Campbell. Roughie cos he wasn't great and Dick wasn't right for a Glasgow-based occasion as all his gags were Fife related, ken?

Bill Copeland does a really good football routine IMHO.
