So, how do we see this going?
el bawbag
i reckon it'll be a decent game but unfortunatly 2-1 dundee with Murray D scoring for us.

1-1 with Livi taking the lead.

25-0 Dundee, Dragutin Ristic with the opener.

Dundee will win I think wink.gif

Hate to say it, but I think Dundee will take it. We're not looking as sharp defensively as we were at the start of the season with McPake injured and Innes being a twat.

Up front, the loss of Sparky has caused us a lot of problems.

Throw in the fact that against Airdrie it was our central midfield that looked the most out of it's depth that it's been all season.

Oh yeah, and we've got a 20 y/o keeper who, while looking good mainly, is prone to a mistake.

Oh what a beaming tower of optimism I am smile.gif
LIVIFOREVER
Can't see us winning, i hope we get a draw but if McPakes still out i really can't see it either. We are looking no bad for half an hour or so then just go to feck, if we can get a goal when we're playing well then i think we can get something from the game but it's going to be difficult, Dundee aren't exactly lighting up the sky with goals though so you never know.
Muggy
I genuinely believe we will win this one comfortably, and at worst move joint top of the league in the process. I think there is a feel-good factor at Dens at the moment, what with the return of Colin Cameron who will most likely start the game, and the injury-free Craig McKeown.

Dundee 4-0 Livingston.
Bigmouth Strikes Again
Curier back on the goal trail.......3-0
DeeJay35
Before last Saturdays game, I would have said we would struggle in this one. However, after the performance we showed against the pars, I am really optimistic about this game. If we keep playing like we did last week we will soon give somebody a real hiding. Will it be this week? who knows. Like anything else though, a goal drought only lasts so long.

Dundee 2 Livi 0

Curier, McKenzie
dee4life
I think we will win this 2-0,I was very impressed with Craig McKeown on saturday and he no doubt will get better with games so our defence looks very solid. Before the pars game we were not creating enough but that changed on saturday and with cameron back we should get the chances.I would expect rae to bring back mcmenamin and hopefully the strikers have their shooting boots on.I honestly feel we will start to improve now that 2/3 key players are back.
northernlivifan
Can't see us scoring without Sparky sad.gif, if we have Mcpake I can't see us conceding more than 2, if we don't have him then I'm with Muggy's prediction. If we have as good a support as we took to Dunfermline getting right behind the team and having good banter then it should be a good day out!
DeeJay35
Im loving the optimisim of the livi fans! and thats them top of the league as well! laugh.gif
The ghost of Jim Morton
tight game I think but Livi will shade it 2-1

EastFootball
An ideal scenario will see Dundee line up as...

Douglas
Paton McKeown McKenzie Malone
O'Brien Cameron McHale Gilhaney
Antoine-Curier McMenamin

Subs: Roy, Cowan, Pozniak, Deasley, Davidson

I've brought McMenamin back in because with proper supply he should be able to bang the goals in...and Cameron is who we're depending on to bring that supply.

I'd have thought a draw and plenty of injuries would be the ideal scenario for St Johnstone wink.gif

I'd have Pozniak instead of McHale apart from that, yes that looks fine.
Juan Sara
Think we might edge it, Curier and McMenamin silencing their critics....hopefully.

Tonights Tele says Cameron will be playing in a closed door game against Hamilton and is likely to play on Saturday.

I don't think he was joking. Pozniak was excellent last Saturday. Arguably a better foil for a more attacking midfielder. Having said that, I think McHale is playing well and if one is to sacrificed for Cameron, I doubt it will be him.

2-1 Dundee

Freddy to start since he hasnt played when dundee has lost this season in the league, heard it here first

Sure, Pozniak was excellent last saturday, but McHale has been our best player this season, in a similar role. He's also better at breaking down attacks and protecting the defence than Pozniak is, IMO.

It is a shame that someone has to be dropped though. Pozniak was coming into his own and proving he can be very good. It just goes to show the depth and strength of our midfield now. We also have Darren Young to come back, and before anyone starts, just because he didn't do well for Dunfermline (evn though he was offered a new contract) doesn't mean he won't be good for us. So, we now have a midfield that is strong, variated and has more depth. It bodes well.

Bite? I'm serious, if we play Cameron and McHale we will get dominated in the air in midfield also McHale is flattering to deceive with his performances.

Perhaps not though. An option would be to play all three, with McHale being pushed further right. Seeing as Gilhaney and O'Brien were the two under-achievers against Dunfermline (Mikael apart), it may be that one of them gets the chop for Saturday.

Other than Paton, perhaps. He's ran our midfield on his own in some games, so he's definitely not going to get dropped.

Ran our midfield?? come on now you were complaining about it last week and how it wasn't creating a thing. What's it to be Muggy? xx

Running our midfield is different from creating chances. I can recall the two home games v Morton and Clyde, where he was doing the job of two men. Pozniak was no where to be seen. Sure, Douglas helped in that game, but if McHale wasn't playing, we would have lost both, IMO.

He didn't run the midfield, but he ran ours.
DeeJay35
I cant see AR dropping McHale either tbh. I would rather he dropped one of the wide men anyway.

A real shame for Pozzy as he did play his best game for the dee last week. But thats football.

Apart from taking some terrible free kicks and almost getting sent off, he played OK.

Personally, I thought he was by far our best player. He was at the centre of everything, but we'll agree to disagree.

I thought it was Pozniak , probably best to agree to disagree I don't want you apologising again to me this weekend for you being wrong ;) tongue.gif
Stainrod's Fedora
McHale has been good, but he needs a more creative player alongside him for the midfield to become more potent. A bit like how Scott Robertson needed Kevin McDonald.

laugh.gif You were right, but will you be at the end of the season? tongue.gif
DeeJay35
Well I would say McKeown was by far our best player considering he hadnt played for so long as well. I dont think he lost tackle if my memory serves me right and looks like hes going to be a very good player indeed.

As for Mchale and Pozzy, I dont think any of them was way better than the other, but I think I would choose Mchale over Pozzy. At least until Pozzy proves he can play at least same high performance level he did v the Pars for a few more games.

Yes, as I stated our strikers are off form if they start scoring I will say they are on form so then being right again. ;)

Poz won't get a chance to prove anything if he gets the heave ho for CC.

They may be considered as regaining form, remember being a striker is about scoring goals.
