Whilst the added coverage is welcomed
please please employ a proof reader !!

Linlithgow manager is referred to as Brian "FAIRLEY" a few times in the report
yet big banner headline calls him Brian "FARLEY"
and report says Kenny "WAUGH" starred for Rose yet star check gives it to K "WRIGHT" i

Or ask your local newsagent to order you one in which is what i do.

The problem with proofreading is having two people in London who know what to look for.

'Pollock' is not something Lok fans like though!

Hopefully the three pages of coverage in NLT makes up for any wee spelling mistakes! smile.gif

On a Sunday, no-one covers juniors and south/east seniors more than NLT (in fact, some papers don't have any coverage at all).

Only the Sun and Daily Record give juniors a decent show on a Monday and even that is a page focussing on a couple of games.

There is a desire to have four pages of coverage but it all depends on how good the sales/feedback is from Scotland - not backing you all into a corner or anything tongue.gif

Anyway, will let you all know the game of the day for Sat Sep 20 later in the week.

I think it is quite good that they have started the scottish coverage. I have bought the paper since it came out as I like to read about the English non-league scene, but it is an added bonus that there is some Scottish stuff in there smile.gif

The same dilemma the "Non League Directory" had. Should they have any pages on Scottish Non League football? Sales in Scotland were poor but who in Scotland would pay that amount of money for only a few pages. Same with Non League Today - is it worth paying the £2 for only 3 pages? (33% increase in price).

Well if no one buys it then the editor will not want to give over any more space so it's catch 22 really. I paid £1.20 for the Sunday Mail yesterday expecting the usual 4 or 5 100 word reports from the Juniors and got absolutely nothing so my £2 was well spent on Non-League Today who actually give a damn about the Juniors and want to promote it.

nobody was knocking the coverage more is always welcome
at present I feel its still a wee bit west region heavy despite the Rose v Boness report
the other reports every week are all west region and the east just gets a wee round up

another page may well help that hopefully
as with the old mud and glory magazine its all about letting punters know its out there
my local tesco has it and its on a top shelf behind the financial times
now I know the likes of HTG might be looking up there but your average junior fan is a sun or record reader.
Edinburgh Evening News also gives Juniors reasonable coverage
but NLT has the edge with its Sunday publication and given the right push and slightly increased content could pull it off.
There is no question the biggest non league scene in scotland is the west super and east super leagues give them a page each and try somehow to cover all 6 games. 1 feature game from each league and small round ups from the other 5 and you have it cracked.
I suppose the problem there is a budget for getting guys to do reports but IMO that would be the ideal way to go forward

Ive seen that Non League Paper loads of times but thought it just covered The lower leagues from Down South.

Does say on the front it covers Scotland, but I didn't notice until someone told me!

Hopefully sales figures will show up favourably for north of the border and there is a fourth page of coverage which would allow further expansion of juniors and also South/East Leagues (from a personal point of view!)

I forgot earlier about mentioning Edinburgh Evening News and Evening Times but those are local papers so it should be expected that they have a decent amount of coverage.
