been watching a few games over past few weeks can anyone shed some light on some of these players

Zander-not sure of this boys name but plays with stonhouse violet...seems a very good player low gravity and tricky stand out in a poor team

number 10 tall boy in center of park for dalkeith good in the air and on the ball surly will make a big move soon, as he was a shining light in an average side

number 9 for maryhill only caught this boy in one game but looked superb small with dark hair who is he ? total superstar quick and looks a find

went to watch pumphetson for the second time yesterday and once again the number 5 jonnie cliffard was superb, apparently this boy was signed straight from under 21's,watched him against linlithgow rose and although he tired a bit after 70 minutes he had the boy grady in his back pocket for the full game. He is very agressive and would kick his granny great signing for the frist division side.

also from pumpherston a great player by the name of gordon in the center of the park, where have they gotten this boy from i heard he had been released by anohter junior team, bad mistake

Johnny Clifford is a class act. Will definitely go on to play at a higher level.

Very quick and agile, strong tackler, and strong personality. He is also very good on the ball with good passing and ive seen him score a couple of belting free kicks with his left foot. His style is like Christian Chivu.

In the linlithgow game you mentioned, he was running all over the back line so at first i doubted his positioning. But i think it was more that he was having to cover his full backs, who were crap and kept making mistakes. He also kept popping up in no-mans land in front of the back line, but again i think he was trying to compensate for pumphy playing without a defensive midfielder.
If he played in a team that was more solid defensively I think his positioning would be fine.

yeah i noticed that as well the boy seems to take on a lot of responsibility for such a young player, i even noticed he was the captain yesterday. Not sen him hitting a free kick yet tho if he does that as well they have gotten themselfs some player i would not like to go into a 50 50 with him anyway very strong physical boy.
against linlithgow in the first half he was in my opinion the best player on the park but you are right what you are saying about the pumphetson full back they are at best awful and the left back has caued 3 goals and i have only watched 2 games

If pumperston want to have any chance of being a better team they need to replace the full back

and did anyone notice there strikers or lack of them ????

What Maryhill game was it? Their website has teamlines, though they did play trialists at No 9 occasionally.

I know Hobbs usually has bleached hair while McKee is a redhead, so it may have been Ally Murray or James McLernon. The latter signed from Glencairn in the summer.

The Zander at Stonehouse is Zander McMillan, a 24 year old youth product of Dundee United. Since leaving United at 19, he has played for Clydebank, Alloa and Cambuslang, before joining Stonehouse in 2007.

Zander McMillan wasnt a regular for us in the Central 2nd Division ( i think ) & went to Alloa. huh.gif

Tom Hendrie signed him for Alloa. I seem to remember at the time the Clydebank fans thought he was a decent player and were sorry to lose him. He only got a couple of starts for us and didnt really make an impact although in fairness we were poor at the time and it would have been tough for a young lad coming in from a lower level and trying to adjust.

I personally didnt think he was that good a player to play league football & i think that showed when he went back to the juniors & it wasnt to the top of that level.

On another note, round the same time yous had a player called Ross MacLeod, who is my mates brother. He did play for Hearts before Alloa.Do you remember much about him ?

He was another who hardly played for Alloa. Signed for us in the close season and made a few sub appearances before leaving pretty quickly. Think he went on to play junior?

No,he's not playing at all apart from 5s/7s.Two of his mates play with Irvine Vics thats why he was down there. Bit of a waste of talent.I saw him playing a few times for Hearts 19s/21s & he done well.

"A class act" is going a bit far i think. Yes the boy can put in a good challenge but theres more negative points to his game than positive ones. One minute he seems 2 have his eye on the game and the next he gets caught flat -footed and the striker is by him. If hes up against a fast striker then he will get caught out because he does lack that little bit more pace that he needs. I wacthed the game against Linlithgow and their defence were in a totally different class compared 2 Jonny and his fellow centre half. Linlithgow defenders knew exactly what they were doing, hence the reason they never conceded a goal! The boy is not anywhere near Linlithgow rose level.
