I was always unsure about this as a national anthem but hearing it this way, it really is beautiful

that was the worst version of FoS i've heard... lacked passion and no variation in pitch at all in the music.
give me the bagpipes and drums version any day, dramatic and powerful and makes you proud to be scottish, not soothe a headache...

rolleyes.gif Thats how Flower Of Scotland is supposed to sound! It is being sung and played by the guy that wrote it. Not the drunken shouting match that you hear at the football.

so because thats the guy who wrote it whos playing the guitar, does that make the version better than the bagpipes ones?
as a song maybe thats how its 'supposed' to sound, but in my ears the national anthem should have the 'pipes in it.
