What is the list of squad names and there numbers?

was thinking about getting a name printed on the back of my new scotland top which i bought yesterday (most likely to be barr).

We play just 1 to 11 dont we? I know we had names on the back of our strips against Northern Ireland, but the player who wore a certain number that night wont keep that number for ever and ever. The person who wore 4 for example that night might not have it against Macedonia.

Therefore I think your idea is up the swanny so to speak.

Certainly outside of major tournament finals I can't recall Scotland ever using squad numbers or names on the backs of the shirts before the Northern Ireland game. Not sure if that was a one off or a sign of things to come.

Scotland were one of the first teams to actually use players names on the back of the shirts in the late 70's early 80's. However, I am sure FIFA or UEFA put the bosch on that and asked us to remove them. I certainly recall Scotland playing matches around about this time, for a few games at least, with the names on them 'outwith' major tournaments.

Scotland should do what the Argies did in the 1982 world cup and have the numbers done alphabetically. that was cool.

Fair do's. Long before I was going to Scotland games so I wouldn't know.

When each squad is announced the players should be allocated a number and have all their gear printed with that number.

I also like what some countriesdo and have the game and date the shirt was worn in stitched into the front of the shirts.
