If you were given the choice of your home town team winning the Championship and gaining promotion OR Scotland qualifying for the World Cup Finals.
What one of these two choices would you pick in this fictional wish?
Simple really

Club win the league easily. It would last for a whole year at least and i think about my club team 365 days a day (i take the day off on 29th Feb). Scotland winning the world cup would last a summer and then we'd lose our first euro qualifying game and everyone would forget about it.
Scotland winning world cup. No question. That does not make me a bad person.

I believe it would be alot different. Fs look at England still rambiling on about 1966.
Aye you can say we're different, we wouldn't ramble on. But, i for one, would say 50 years from now, 'it wasny that when we lifted the World Cup mate' The world cup final
s would last a summer, but the memories of Scotland lifting it... would last a lifetime.
What i'd have to do is measure up the chances of each thing happening to see what would mean the most to me at this point in time.
Right now, i'd give my left testacle for Clyde to win the First,
and survive in the SPL.
My team winning the league.

Scotland winning the world cup.
I've seen Jags win the first and second, and though I thouroughly enjoyed it, I'd take the national team winning the world cup. It would be something we can all celebrate with those we usually argue with in the pub or on football forums such as these. Its something you would talk about for the rest of your life, probably. Change the question to 'winning the world cup or winning the SPL' and you may well get a different answer. I am just as much a Scotland fan as I am a Thistle fan, and since I've lived in England have paid even more attention to the national team.

Well since ive allready seen Dunfermline in the spl and finished respectively in it i would take Scotland winning the world cup...an experiance like that would last a lifetime.
Is that really the question? Isnt Scotland just qualifying for the World Cup? If it is then PArs winning.
If its Scotland winning the World Cup I would take that, a nation wide party the likes of which that have never been seen, what a binge!

I've been going to Scotland games all my life but recently I've kinda lost interest in the national team and don't really care how we do. I still go to all the games but just don't have the same passion anymore. Not sure why tbh, partly because recently there seem to have been a large number of wee fannies of the ClydeNewcomer variety following Scotland who do my tits in (although Scotland fans in general are arseholes tbh)

, but there's other factors too. So Airdrie any day of the week.

The esspeell gets boring very quickly......being in a league you have no chance of winning due to the religious cult of the old firm makes it no fun.
Scotland qualifying for the world cup would be great......bit of a close call.....but the Pars would win. If it were Scotland winning the world cup.....there would be no competition.....Scotland every time.
Scotland winning the World Cup v Pars winning the Scottish Cup? Gawd knows.
More interested in the Pars winning the league than getting back to the premier.......the first division is much more fun.

Both now seem ludicrously unlikely, but ANSWER THE QUESTION PEOPLE!
Probably Scotland getting to the World Cup finals given that it's been a while (and looks like it might be 2014 at the earliest!)
We've won the league in the not too distant past, and getting into the SPL isn't all it's cracked up to be. In fact it's absolutely shite once the novelty wears off.

Livi winning the league would give me greater pleasure than Scotland qualifying for the world cup, have lost interest in Scotland games, usually if we start winning games and get close to qualifying we always feck it up, so it's best never to get remotely enthusiastic about it, it always ends in disappointment.
If Scotland did qualify then that would only serve to disappoint further, there would be hopes getting built up even higher, ready for the thud back down to reality.
