And have they gone on the blink? My Zen Vision W and Zen V Plus have both conked out today. The Vision's battery wont charge, nor will it register when it's plugged into the computer. Same goes for the Plus.... And neither are charging. When they're plugged in, the charge bar says it's charging, but the battery level stays at the small red bar.... Anyone have/had similar problems with stuff?
Hang on, both your Creative players have conked out today?
Is it possible that there's something wrong with your cable? That sounds too coincidental to me.

Used two different cables, on two different computers. In fairness the V Plus hasn't been used in about 2 months but the Vision was fully charged today, I was listening to it on my way into computing, then I turned it off for about 15 mins, then on again cause I had some work I needed saved on it, wouldn't turn on or show up on the computer.

Right, I see.
Sorry chief, I've no idea. Hope you get it sorted though.

Thanks anyway...
Ed - now the Vision's not turning on even when it's plugged in, it'll be going back to the shops methinks...
Apparently there is a bug in all Creative players that stops them working on 03/09/08

I have a 20GB one, and filled it up fairly quickly. I had some new albums to add to it, so I deleted five or six of the ones on it, but it still said the memory was full, so I've now lost music without being able to put any new stuff on. Bah.
I had one of the Zen Micro 20GB HDD versions that conked out at the beginning of the year. 2 years life and the HDD was goosed. Have you had a look on Ebay for replacement batteries for your Vision W?

Same here. My Vision M is fantastic and the one I had before was good: only the headphone connection getting a bit dodgy made me get a new one. Much better than any Ipod!

Bought my Creative Zen about 3 years ago. Its great, never had a problem with it.
Funny, I've used my iPod almost every day for 4 years and never had a problem with it either
