I took in our 4-0 win against Arbroath last night and we played a couple of trialists. One of which looked to me like Ross Hamilton, why is he a free agent? If memory serves me right he was an important player for Alloa for a good few seasons?

I think he was realeased by Stenny. Was a decent player a few seasons ago but is well past it now. Always seemed to enjoy playing in the "bigger" games but couldnt do it week in week out. In saying that he did score a fair few for us. Should have been a better player that he actually was.

Released by Stenny? Not so encouraging...

Would be pretty surprised if Brechin signed Ross, thought his next stop would be the juniors. He was a good servant to us but think the gaffer made the right decision to free him a couple of years ago.
The Stenny fans will probably LOL when they see this thread because they didnt seem too impressed with Ross last season...

Ross Hamilton of Stenny Alloa etc was a wee nippy striker, Ross Hamilton who played for Brechin on Tuesday was released by an SPL club, I think Hearts and is six foot plus. Also though he had an excellent game. The two aren't in the slightest similar

The Ross Hamilton released by hearts was 19/20 and a left full back who was also used at centre half and left mid

Never made the first team but was a fairly regular reserve player

A decent enough player but was never going to make it at first team level and was rightly released

I think he is probably going to about his level at 2nd division as he was fairly well developed for his age and probably wouldnt get too much better

He was indeed at Hearts and is a left back. no doubt looking at him as cover for Dyer.

He was a decent player but as said as above only brought his A game in big matches !

ross hamilton is my PE teacher at Larber tHigh and we ask him whats happeing and he says he aint playing with anyone.
