EDIT: Two loan players from Rangers. Lowing goes straight in the squad for today's game while Emslie has a knock. Great news as we needed players in those positions.

Lowing is a great signing. Heard a lot of good stuff about this lad and except from the conceded to Harris in that game at Ibrox a few years ago. He had a solid game. He's always in the Scotland squads if I remember right.

I don't know too much about the other lad. But will ask my mates about him.

Alan "I look like a chipmunk" Lowing's a nice guy, and was in my year at school.

Paul Le Guen thought he was a great prospect, and a more complete player than Hutton at the time, and gave him a few games. Supposedly he's a brilliant trainer, but gets very nervous in the real games, and doesn't quite show it in reserves or when he's been a starter in the first team.

I hope he does well, but just not well against Thistle. Finally Brown uses his Rangers ties for something that will help the squad.

Lowong will be a good signing for Clyde smile.gif

Did Alan tell you this? I wonder if his bottle will crash in the cauldron that is a 4 stand McDiarmid Park today.

I think LeGuen mentioned it in the Sunday Mail, or it was mentioned in a Sunday Mail interview with Lowing?

It will be hilarious if Clyde decide to play him left back, if anyone remembers his performances there in the u20 world cup. It was watching through the fingers stuff.

According to Soccerbase he played once under Le Guen - for 15 minutes as a sub huh.gif

Bit strange he hasn't featured for the first team since then as I was under the impression he was highly rated (although if you're a youngster at the Old Firm you're always a talented prospect).

I doubt that's true but I might be wrong. I'd like to point out that saying he's better than Hutton at that time wasn't exactly a wild statement to make. Hutton was terrible after his legbreak until Smith came in.

I think he preffered Lowing to Hutton, but brought in Bardsley because he was a bit more experienced.

Pretty average players. They wouldn't be going out to a feeder club if they were up to much.

That just shows the difference between an excellent deal to find a loan signing that will benefit both clubs and player, and a panic deal struck a month into the season when your sitting at the bottom of the league.

I wouldn't have said we were in desperate need of a right back, but it's good to have cover in that area. The midfield loan signing excites me more smile.gif

Lol, it's not the San Siro friend

Alan had a good game today and was solid throughout. He had a couple of good balls up to Clarke and didn't let much past him. He did, however, look a bit suspect for their second as he seemed -from my view- to let Sheerin go pretty easily and set up Holmes for an easy header.

In the coming months, with a few games under his belt, I'm sure he'll be an excellent addition.
