The away fixture against Villarreal is on Tuesday 30th September this year. Anyone planning to go to it?

I'm scouring the net just now for cheap options, best I can seem to get is about £170.

Can anyone better that?
ChampionsElect
I think flying from somewhere like Belfast was cheaper, I'll check it out.

Not going as of yet, because of the small allocation of tickets.

Hopefully going to Manchester though.

We were there in 2004; Villarreal is a complete dump. The people were fantastic and there remains a close link today between the fans which as we know, the plc soon latched onto. Most people stayed in Valencia but we went back to Castello de la Plana which was just as bad as Villarreal. The place was a ghost town after the game and only just did we manage to find one bar open and persuaded him to keep it open. Not one of the best European trips result wise and place wise. Still, that it isn’t the easiest place to get to meant that there was an obvious lack of idiots and tartan army wannabees around, unlike trips to Barcelona or Milan, which means it has something in it’s favour.

I’d have thought you’d be a Thomas Cook traveller anyway.

Go for Valencia and get the train to the game, it's only about 30 - 40 mins. We flew from Stanstead to Valencia with SqueezyJet and got a pretty good deal. They also fly from Bristol as well, which might be worth a shout.

Valencia is a lovely place.

Was in Villareal and its only 1 of my 3 away trips, around the ground was incredible, the stadium is built onto houses and really as glasnost said, the place is a dive, we stayed in Castellon in an amazing hotel, but as the game kicked off about 9.00 oclock there was nowhere to find food on the way back, we ended up finding a pizza place and i will guarentee you it will be the worst bit of food i will ever have in my entire life.

4 days to come up with that. Well done.

Supposedly the place is a complete dive, and the town basically shuts down when the macthes are on.

I wonder what people from Villareal will think of Glasgow.

But I don't, they'll probably think it's worse than Villarreal.
