We fill the away stand at McDiarmid no problem at all, and we also take over a large amount of their main stand as well.

Serious question. Do Saintees think Geoff Brown wants to;
a - get a wedge of capital in for Saints,
b - help out P&K Council's traffic problems,
c - hand the council a solution to a traffic problem that's stopping the council giving planning permission for housing developments to the west of Perth?
Is Brown speaking as owner of GS Brown Construction or Saints chairman?

That was the first game of the season to be fair. Everyone's away support goes up slightly at the first game.
It's odd that Dundee have the best home support, but a fairly low percentage of that travel to away games, compared to other sides variance with home and away support.
I guess they just can't bear to leave Dundee, even for a few hours.

This is my favourite myth regarding saints. We've not had cardboard cut outs for years, as you should know from your bi-annual trek to Perth.
This makes sense and has been in the pipeline for a good while now anyway. We don't need all the stands really so I'm quite happy for this happen.

This is an absolute disgrace.
I’ve stuck by saints through a lot of shite, be it crappy manager appointments or the huge hike in ticket prices, defended Geoff brown when he has refused to dip in his pocket, but this is the last straw.
As one of few lower league clubs to make profit, it’s not like we really need the money to function.
If he is serious about getting promoted then this does not make any sense. As this is space that would most probably be needed for away supports.
Brown needs to get a grip and think about the clubs interests instead of his monetary assets.

I doubt this will go ahead.
I'm only really concerned about having nothing at one end, a small terrace (like at Ross County) that can convert to seats when promoted would be ideal.
If it means less OF fans then all the better.
I'd also guess it'd mean more all-ticket games if we got promoted, possible even Dundee games but the current 2,500 away capacity is normally fine.. There have been a few occasions when away fans have over filled their end & it would not be possible with only 3 stands to accommodate them..

To be fair was a still a good support all the way up to dingwall. It didnt go up just slightly either.
I think we have one of the biggest away support in this league, maybe im just being biased here.

You make a very good point. Bruce McDiarmid gave the land for a football stadium, one wonders if he would approve of this. I suspect not. I wonder if there was anything in the agreement along the lines of that the land must only ever be used for a football stadium and related activities?

another one of big Geoff wonderful ideas, so much for the chairman that loves the club using it as leverage in his big businesses deals. when are we going to figure out that he really is a twat. i also wonder if admission prices will go up again, due to the smaller capacity of the stadium once this happens, i think yes.
