You'll like the area around the stadium. It's a shitehole - just like Grenock.

1. How much is it in for a student?
2. How much is it in for a normal person?
3. Is there official parking that you have to pay for?

1. That sucks
2. That sucks even more
3. Normally I don't mind street parking at the football but I remember that Drumgelloch is pretty sketchy - moreso than the area around Cappielow, in my estimation - from last time I was there (2004 - aye, not the 6-1 game, the other one sad.gif). I'd be willing to pay for the privelege of secure parking here.
Chris Mac
£2 for official parking but as usual the club takes no responsibility for blah blah blah

You get the privelege of paying for parking, not so sure about the secure bit tongue.gif

Pies are excellent, only a round pound as well.

The areas next to the ground are craigneuk and petersburn - not the most affluent parts of the town but thats why we got planning permission

Coming from the M8, take the 1st left before the stadium (the junction at Archer's garage). Park in the vicinity of Brownsburn. The locals will only eat you if they're really hungry.

On your return journey turning right onto Carlisle Rd can be a problem but, if the traffic there is heavy, you can head back to the M8 via Carnbroe. You'll have to travel a quarter mile eastbound on the A8 before crossing the Eurocentral flyover to the westbound carriageway but, unless 1000 Morton fans read this and decide to do the same, you should dodge the worst of the traffic.

Ach well, if it's just like Greenock, I should be ok to leave the roof down on my convertible while I'm at the game.

As it has been the wettest August in a 100 years it might become a mobile swimming pool

Airdrie didn't win the league on the last day of the season, they were just presented with the trophy. The only thing that was to be played for that day was us winning promotion. I won't go much into that... sad.gif

The area around the stadium isn't the best - not in any sense of the imagination - but some practical thinking will ensure your safety.

It's best to have these items on your person.

2. A bat
3. Tech-9s
