Firstly, download the attachment, super pi 1.5mb, its zipped, but you can open it from the zip.
Press the calculate button, and select 1mb and press okay, let it run its test, and then post what time you got.
Please post what your cpu speed is, and the super pi time.
Try and not have anything running in the background or it will affect your time. Anything under 30 seconds is good, anything under 20 seconds is really good.
It gives a good comparative speed test between pc's and laptops, ive started with my netbook.

Intel dual processor thingy, no idea of specs.
Good? bad? average?
Not that I give a fcuk, it runs Football Manager well enough, downloads music quickly, and lets me browse the net, the only three things I ever really use my PC for, apart from lots of emulators for old machines.

Im guessing from that speed its the older intel dual core 820 or 920 or something like that, you see the equivelant score that the dell xps at 2.4 gets (quad scores same as dual in this test).

Just tried it on my Laptop (XPS 1730) and got 25.542s
Although I have a rake of programmes running
Turned some progs off and got 23.601s

Im sure I could get less if I turned more progs off but thats not a bad score for a laptop.
Ill try my gaming and old desktops later.
