I think our first league goals will start to flow this weekend with a 2-0 win.

I'm pretty damn confident after our showing against Hibs last night. I just hope we can put in that type of performance in the league as well. And I do believe that we can. We've not had a great start to the league but we're not as bad as our early form suggests IMO. Last night also gave me a LOT more confidence in our goalkeeper so I'm hoping he can keep that up after a somewhat poor start from him. Maybe just needed time to settle to be fair.
I'll go for 3-1 Morton.

Last night proved that we are capable of creating a lot of chances, and more importantly, sticking them in the net. Gives me a bit of confidence going into Saturday, although the players will be shattered after last night.
Hopefully the players will as up for it as they were against Hibs, as this is a must win for us. A win for us and we can get a good run going here.

Morton stepped up their game for an SPL side. The only change from previous games for our side will be confidence now that we have a win under our belts, and with a struggling Airdrie United being the opposition, that might be enough.

A struggling airdrie where did u get that from. Lost one out of four with three clean sheets would hardly call that struggling especially against four of the stronger teams in the division and two clean sheets out of two away from home is hardly poor now is it.

If you can't score goals, you're struggling. You can't go through a league and not score any goals. Morton have only not scored in one game this season, so we can find goals from somewhere.

Struggling, yet above you lot in the league.
32 more 0-0 draws will leave us with 35 points. More then enough for a play-off place, unless Irons gets sacked.

Both teams will be looking to win the game, so it should make for an entertaining 90 minutes.
Either Airdrie end their goal drought or we keep a clean sheet: something has to give.

I reckon Airdrie are virtually guaranteed their first goal on Saturday, whatever happens.
As previously mentioned, I'd be quite happy with a total snoozefest, with Morton winning by a goal or two.
Another 6-1 doing is liable to result in crockery being thrown chez McB, and I don't want to lose my deposit...

That applies to both sets of players although we will have had an extra day to recover.
Its also worth pointing out that we have scored 17 goals in our 7 competitive matches so far. Scoring is less of a problem for us than keeping them out!

I very much doubt Airdrie will go into this game with the same mindset they had for, say, Dundee or last night's match.
If Morton can nick a goal early on, the onus would be on Airdrie to attack and commit men forward, opening up the test of defending counter-attacks.
I agree though that if Airdrie were to go in front on Saturday I wouldn't be confident of ourselves equalising.

You've been solid at the back but hardly setting the heather on fire up front. We've been scoring pretty freely withd 17 in our competitive matches so far. We have only failed to score once - against Dundee at Dens.
Our problem has been closing the back door but I think we are looking better now in that respect.
If you score first, I would expect the shutters to go up and we might struggle with that. If you don't score you will have to give it a go against us and that might make it a reasonably open game.
