Can't say I have heard of any other than Pandev but some play for decent clubs. Some bloke from Ipswich is on is 50th cap....

Macedonia: Petar Milosevski (Enosis Neon Paralimni FC, CYP), Tome Pacovski (FK Vardar Skopje), Goce Sedloski (SV Mattersburg, AUT), Igor Mitreski (FC Energie Cottbus, GER), Vlade Lazarevski (Groclin Dyskobolia, POL), Nikolce Noveski (1. FSV Mainz 05, GER), Goran Popov (SC Heerenveen, NED), Robert Petrov (Panserraikos FC, GRE), Miroslav Vajs (FK Vardar Skopje), Boban Grncarov (KAA Gent, BEL), Vlatko Grozdanoski (FK Vojvodina Novi Sad, SRB), Darko Tasevski (PFC Levski Sofia, BUL), Artim Polozani (FK Vardar Skopje), Vanco Trajanov (FC Chernomorec, BUL), Veliche Shumulikoski (Ipswich Town, ENG), Ertan Demiri (KSC Lokeren, BEL), Goran Pandev (SS Lazio, ITA), Goran Maznov (FC Tom Tomsk, RUS), Ilco Naumoski (SV Mattersburg, AUT), Stevica Ristic (Pohang Steelers, KOR).

Not going to be easy but I believe it is a game we should win but will probably draw. Got my ticket for the Macedonia end and the Iceland end so at least will be at both games

If Pandev's as good in real life, as he is in FM08, we should be shitting ourselves.

seems like a decent enough team to be quite a few bundesliga players and the obvious threat of pandev, its gonna be a tough ask for the scots i feel, especially without a fit ferguson and hutton, i'd prob take a draw, espeically if you take the Georgia away game into consideration, similar type of game but far hotter.... sad.gif

I always thought from the off that a draw would be pretty much our level in this game ( hopefully countered with a win against Iceland ) I suspect they will give a few teams a tough time at their place and they are precisley the sort of side we lose to.

To be fair apart from Fletcher who is a squad player at Man Utd I bet most their fans are thinking "I have never heard of any of the Scotland players".
Fudge
We have the players to beat them, but I'd be surprised if we didn't lose. I think we'll go out there and look to sit and play on the counter attack. I'd much prefer it if that manager came out with a 'f**k it, we're better than them, lets have a go' attitude.

Our last qualification campaign was derailed by shocking tactics in Ukraine and Georgia, hopefully Burley has a bit of ambition and goes out there to have a go.

Any game we should win, is guaranteed to be a loss/draw. We wouldn't be Scotland otherwise would we? wink.gif

The away end ticket is one of the ones that were in the papers. Been in touch with the guy and can get a refund if I want but when the choice is keep my ticket and maybe not get in or get £26 back and definately not get in then I will take my gamble huh.gif . Between trecking from here to London, Belgrade, Skopje, Sofia, Schiphol, Reykjavik then directly back I am sure I will p!sh away a lot more money than anything possible lost on the match ticket biggrin.gif .

He has arranged my hotels and transfers and seems pretty geniune (not that he is not making money though). The same rumbles came before the England game and they all managed to get in so just have to cross my fingers and hope.

P.S. DJP my lack of knowledge of their players isn't a slight on them as I wouldn't expect many Macedonians to know much about our lot just thought it was worth posting in case anyone else knows this group of players better and also since the teams they play for serves as a warning of how tough it will be.

He is a quality player, Real Madrid were interested in him apparently a couple of seasons back when he scored against them in the Champions League. Scotland will need to be a strong unit to grind out a win over there as they play a fairly physical style of game. Still think Scotland are good enough to win however but wont be a walk in the park.

Sorry pal beerchug.gif

We all know how tough it will be due to our recent disasters, such as Georgia away last year sad.gif. I would be ecstatic if we grind out a 1-0 win.

Even in club football, just have to look at Rangers this season.

Well the Macedonians are confident of a result so they dont fear Scotland, would be very happy with a 1-0 win aswell. This match and the Dutch away are the two most difficult matches I think in the group.

I have an impending feeling of doom for this trip crying.gif However hopefully by game time I will replace that with my usual blind optimism. wacko.gif aided by a few beers of course beerchug.gif

I would be over the moon if we got a 1-0 victory in Skopje. They are a good side and have an excellent coach, in my opinion they are better than Norway and our main rivals for 2nd place. I have a really bad feeling about us losing this 2/3-0. huh.gif
GeeJay
I, like everyone else I have spoken to, have a terrible feeling about this game.

Would take a draw now.

Indeed, I felt that immediately after the draw and have not seen anything to change my mind. The only consolation is that I think they will hurt other sides at their place as well.
