I think it's save to say the first post rule can occasionally be applied to second posts as well.

Fife Saint should be more imaginative when choosing the name of an alias.

FUD

2 defeats aren't exactly the end of the world, i think every Saints fan had a bad feeling deep down about this year but just didn't say.

Roll on 2009/2010 cool.gif

Just a quick question for the St Johnstone fans do you think Mcinnes is up to the task of getting promotion.

Put it this way I think we'll be more interested in your scores and Clyde rather than Dundees. Does that answer your question ???????????? sad.gif

McInnes has put this on himself by moving in the transfer window to quickly. If he waited and bought players in gradually he would have money to spend if he realized things were not going to work out.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!!!!!!
Yellow Army Faithful
I was all in favour of giving Mcinnes a chance when he took over from coyle, However, We are in dire need of a left back, and he's known this all summer and neglected the situation. Instead he claims he had one in his sights on loan (Yet we know nothing about this player) and the loan deal is being neglected. He seems to have went for strenghening the Midfield and Strike force, And seems Happy to be playing Craig/Sheerin or the dire LB Trialist Dan Smith.

If he goes Geoff Must try and Bring in an expierianced Gaffer or face the inevitable of yet another season in The first division

Saints have reported a profit of £300,000 + so money should'nt be a problem
for getting new players in.

I have been told he has gone, shame really, I thought he wasn't too bad.

How many times have other fans on here heard Saints fans say sack the manager after 2 defeats? give the guy a fuckin chance, the season is weeks old. I think we will stil be challenging for the title come the end of the season. Too many Saints fans are stuck in the days of paul sturrock, move on people!

How long's McInnes's contract? I'm not saying he should be sacked. I think he should stay there, and create a Dick Campbell like legacy.

Also, Dan Smith "not too bad"?? How St Johnstone's expectations have dropped. From a god in Stanic two years ago, to being tempted into taking a gruesome reject. It might not be easy to find a Stanic, but you can do better than Desperate Dan.

It wasn't a loan deal. The player in question, after initially missing out on Paul Dixon, was Tuomo Kononen, a Finnish international who is out of contract with Odd Grenland at the end of the season. Odd Grenland have signed a replacement for Kononen but rejected an offer from Saints of around £10,000 and now won't let the player leave at this moment.

He might well be but not at left back. Hopefully someone that is going to sit on this tribunal was at Firhill on Saturday. You'll end up having to give us money.

Agree with everyone who says Smith wasn't the answer. He's not the worst player in the world but he wouldn't even been an option in July, so we shouldn't be giving him a contract now. He was shown the door after the Thistle game in any case.

The reference to Paul Sturrock is telling as well. We suffered much heavier defeats earlier in his reign and the Saints board sat in the Social Club at Ochilview and discusses whether they should sack him after the Scottish Cup defeat to Stenny. Thank God they didn't. I don't believe I'm even entertaining the notion that McInnes should be sacked on the back of two bad results though!

McInnes is indeed a mentalist if he is playing Craig at left back.
