dont quite get your point?there's been scores like this every season as far as i can remember,one team always seems to struggle and this year it seems to be creetown's turn.what do you expect when players show no loyalty and jump ship when the going gets tough or money runs out.even the mighty threave,crichton and saints have had seasons of getting humped like this and came through it,so wouldn't say a score like this is a farce as they're going through a transitional period playin wae kids just like threave did and look at them now.seem to remember threave havin scorelines like this last season and still didn't win the league.
as for gretna last time they were in sos league they had a stronger team as they have now and didn't even finish in the top 4!

point i think he is making is that there is no strength in depth in this league as apart from top 4or 5 the rest would not even win the Dumfries Saturday league.

what amateur teams like crichton(blackwood dynamos) sos LEAGUE WINNERS,mids and abbey vale all sos cup winners or cup finalists in recent years,ok the standards not as good as in the past but even then there was no strenghth in depth, teams like creetown and tarff lost by 7 or 8 goals quite regular so whats the difference.think your being a bit negative to say the new teams in the sos have lowered the standard and think you'll find they have all won the amateur league in the past and amateur side upper annandale beat every south side(including top sides) they played last season,apart from a loss to dumfries,so cant agree wae your amateur post at all!
kev laurie,ding and ross kerr must have had hard paper rounds if they're under 18!
if those so called weaker teams had'nt joined the league it would have died of death as most teams had played all they're games by the end of feb in them days!

you cant blame players going where the cash is there is no loyalty in football at any standard when the money is splashed out, its up to all the clubs to stop paying and then we will see where the players will end up if there is no money does that mean there is no league?
you are correct all teams go through this at some stage but scores like this do nothing for the league or the supporters. I also think Gretna would have improved the standard and i'm sure a lot of clubs wanted them in the south a mate of mine has watched them twice an reckons they have a good side and without paying the players.

i wasnt there but i heard Heston were 2 nil up at half time, plus theyd hit the bar. Annan basically dominated the 2nd half and scored there equaliser near the end. The Heston keeper supposedly made a brilliant save from a penalty in last 2 minutes of extra time to basically win them the game! great result for them, think annan will be quite annoyed they havent beaten them as it seems everyone hates Heston!

Dont think anyone hates them......us Dumfries boys want to see all the local clubs doing well...think folk get pissed off with the park being off so much but Heston have had a great week or so results wise..............confidence must be flowing........

your probaly right. i dont really no too much about the politics of the SoSl as ive just really taken an intrest in the last 6 months or so. but reading on this heston dont really have anyone sticking up for them?? probaly due to the pre-season comments
they did well yesterday and im sure annan would have expected to pump them and are probably going to take it out on their next opponents
