Arbroath have signed Steven Weir ex livi, a good signing for a counter attacking 2nd Division team? I would thank you for honest opinions.

Suppose he will be good in the second division. Never really had any chances last year, and the few chances he did have, he didnt do much.

Some people will say hes shite no doubt.

2nd div is about his level tbh and will probably do ok. wasn't good enough for the first.

Shite. Certainly in the top ten worst players I have ever seen play for Livingston. And we've had our fair share. Runs about like a headless chicken, in no particular direction, has a truly awful first touch. Lets hope for your sake he never gets off the bench.

Bit harsh from the previous Livi posters. Livi had a host of short tricky attacking players and Weir was not as good as Keaghan Jacobs and miles behind Leigh Griffiths. He has pace and should fit nicely into a counter atacking second division team.

Hmm. Looked decent enough for us when on trial, had a good game against rangers. I suspect our gaffer didnt rate him as suitable cover for the strikers. No doubt he'l score against us.

He's one of those players that looked like he could be good but just didn't do it for us, scored a couple of goals when he played, just wasn't convincing enough though. Good luck to the lad, hope he does well for you.

Never got a run in the team Always gave it 100% and sometimes may have tried too hard when he did get a game. I think this is probably a good move for him. I hope he does well for you.

I reckon he'll be a decent Second Division player.

I am not sure he was actually that bad for us, but he never really got a run in the team and his confidence suffered for it.
