The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted a bunch of men hanging about at half-time right underneath the scoreboard. They were wearing blue or silver kagoul things with OBSERVER emblazoned across the back. Anyone know what they were doing?

My first thought was that they were UN observers sent to monitor the unfolding disaster within our back four but these fears were unfounded.

There were some at our game aswell, I'd heard they were police officers doing training or something, but if they were at your game aswell maybe they weren't.

There were about 6 of them. Didn't see them during the match only at half-time.

I saw one of these observers in the main stand during the game. I just thought he was from the newspaper!

So it was in fact the new generation of Tayside polis' Saturday afternoon Hitlers honing their skills in identifying trouble-makers?

I don't believe it. There was a wee guy of about 10 in front of me who was not approached despite having the audacity to stand and clap at regular intervals.
dirty dingus
surprised the tayside police didn't cosh and shackle him as he could have been a potential trouble maker as he was obviously a par in the wrong end. wink.gif

What a bloody hero. I salute him and will look to emulate his brave actions.

I noticed these observor guys to. I was looking at them suspicioulsy and if they are indeed the next generation of match commanders, they must have missed the light that was broken in depths of the one of the toilets in the East Stand. A game postponement was surely in order.

Well, going by everything I have read in this topic and by my general inclination to understand all that is going on around me, I would have to say that, after much due thought and consideration...

...they were in fact observing something.

Now, where is my smart-ass hat. I know I left it around here somewhere...
