Was at Hospital park yesterday to see Crichton versus Creetown. Aptly named as some of players could have ended up in hospital with some x-rated challenges flying about. Not their fault. Main official was poor. Did nothing to discourage bad tackles. The players will think this is the norm and expect to get away with it. Let's keep the physicality in the game; the game would be poorer without it! Let's not have players being sent off left, right and centre either! But let's have officials who understand what is acceptable and what is not and who have the balls to bring the game to a halt when it is justified. If I was a manager or a coach I wouldn't be ringing the main official at Crichton yesterday to referee my next game and protect my players!

i agree, was up at the game yesterday and the creetown players were certainly out to kick men rather than the ball at times.

The number 6 for them was a constant example of this, most he got was a number of quiet worrds from the ref for tackles which were not only bookable offences or even sending off offences, but dangerous to boot.

Ps I am a neutral watching the game because i enjoy watching football and have nothing against either team.

He never got anything more because 99% of the time he won the ball. Never heard Crichton players or manager complaining about them after the game rolleyes.gif

There were a few "x-rated" tackles the night from the Crichton players, Marc McGinley ended up in hospital

He was next on my list. Personally I dont like the way the Crichton play with the 3 midfield spoilers but it does work.

Christ there was bad challenges from both sides.... hope McGinley is ok tho.
Difference tonight was that the attackers were nipping in front that shade quicker making potential good challenges look that little bit worse.

2 of those "midfield spoilers" scored from open play by filling the box so you maybe being a bit harsh there mate.

Come watch them over the course of the year...then make a comment!!!
I played alongside Stanky when at Dumfries.... whistling.gif But the progress he has made is excellent since then.

3 years ago I was at nearly ever Crichton game, he is a spoiler. Nothing wrong with that, just personally would not play him Kerr and Clark.
