Long standing Reading captain Graeme Murty has finally sorted out his testimonial.
The Royals were due to face Inter Milan this summer in Murty's testimonial, but due to relegation, fixture congestion and Jose Mourinho's inability to forget an incident that happened two years ago, that was recognised as a completely accident to everyone in the world apart from him and Oliver Holt, the match was cancelled.
Murty's big day looked in jeopardy following the cancellation of the game, but an end of season match against Celtic has now filled the void.
Murty will donate a proportion of the money raised from the testimonial to Swings and Smiles, a recreational facility for special needs children.
The date for the testimonial is yet to be arranged, but several other events including a race night, a bowling night and a golf day have all been arranged.

So many teams want us to play, so little time

Good on him - it's harder to justify professional footballers getting testimonials in the modern age, so good to see them do something good with the money (like Niall Quinn etc)

What happened there. Did he pump his bird or something?

Probably the incident when Cech got his skull fractured in a collision with Hunt.

Fair play and commendation to Sellick, they participate in a lot of matches of this kind when they don't have to.
For all those that hate Celtic stewards, Reading's are equally as big a c*nts. With some f*ckwit head steward pointing me out to football unintelligence officers that I was banned. I was promptly arrested missed Swindon win 3-1. I kicked up a fuss over this and complained to Swindon and when they spoke to Reading, no Reading stewards owned up to pointing me out. On the previous times I had been their they were also c*nts, but Swindon lost. Typical the time I got arrested for the crime of walking outside the ground heading towards the turnstyles Swindon won. Not played them since

Forgot to add, Agreed with fellow comments, Good to see him giving a cut of his testimonial money to charities. Although it seems to be the done thing, Murty has spent most his career in the bottom divisions
