Ayr have David Gillies on trial at the moment.
I understand he's a young player who didn't feature much for Airdrie, and he comes from Ayrshire. Does anyone know if he's any good, or likely to be a decent prospect?
He might feature today, but I don't think another young striker is what we're after.

Was there any update with Gillies? Did he get another club?
He is a good player and it's very unfortunate he got struck down with Krohn's Disease the moment he signed for Airdrie Utd and it seems work commitments led to him eventually leaving after mainly coming off the bench once fit again.
Wouldn't call him that young though, he's 25 and had 5 full seasons in the Ayrshire Juniors, a couple with M£dda and the Vics and three with Talbot.
