Former Sunderland man Darren Williams signs up on one year deal, he played as a trialist up at Ross County. Mainly a central defender and was solid there on Saturday. Personally not sure we needed to bring in another central midfielder and another central defender but hopefully gives good competition.

Injuries but when MacKenzie, McKeown and Lauchlan are back we have four players for two positions plus Malone and Cowan who can cover. Short term good signing long term i'm not sure another central defender should of been the priority.

I think that dundee are getting desperate with all there signings they must now have a squad bigger than the average nfl team. Reminds me of gretna, if it comes off then fine but if not all of these players will be looking for new jobs, some just never learn the problems will come he they fail to get promoted. Best of luck

I rather we had players in there stongest positions rather than comming out poistion to cover up for another. Sounds good signing hope he do job.

Cant wait till tomorrow. I didnt make last weeks game (I saw the shocker at Alloa though!) so looking forward to seeing the new players in action.

I with Tommy on this one, not sure that position was the most critical to bring in another player for, right midfield would have been my preference.

Like most people are saying not sure where the moneys coming from but its good we'll have four players competing for the two places.

Even though Cowan and Malone can cover say one of them pick up a knock or even Forsyth or Paton took a knock at least we wouldn't be worrying about emmergency loans ect...

IMO all we need is a right winger and the squad will be fine.

Really liking the look of the squad now, we look to have strength in depth. Another central defender was definitely needed after seeing that McKeown is still having fitness problems. Hopefully Pozniak's signing means that clown Young won't get a game...If he ever regains fitness.

McKeown played 45 minutes the other night, he is on his way back.

There's no doubt that Malone is at his best when he's played as a full-back, so taking him out of position is counter-productive.

Another good signing, he looked good at Dingwall more so in the second half, he did start a bit dodgy I can understand that. Squad is taking shape pretty well. A certain former Dundee player has been asking to come back again but I doubt Rae will offer him a trial although a I think he should be given at least a trial - not my thoughts that count though.

Williams can also play midfield or full-back apparently. Looks like a bit of a hard [email="b@stard"]b@stard[/email] too. The player budget is slightly increased this season by way of investment and Kev's transfer fee.

We could do with someone to hold the ball up front and allow the midfield to catch up, Caballero fits the bill but I don't think this league would suit him.

Dundee lost around 14 players who were part of the 1st team squad at the end of last season,to date i think we have signed around 10,giving us a squad of about 22.
