Its out wednesday, 800 points on xbox live, not released yet on ps3, and $14.99 on steam ($5 more than 360/ps3 versions for some reason annoyingly).

Guaranteed to be bad. Sorry. It was a great little game in the arcades and on 8-bit machines but I just can't see it having enough complexity for today's gaming, or if it does then it will need to be a different game.

Although to even out my negativity about the fourth coming release, have a Romeo Knight remix of the old C64 Bionic Commando theme tune.

The commando remake and 1943 remakes on the 360 have been great so far, high hopes for it.

Not seen either actually, but I can't imagine commando being that impressive, as it was a very simple game with only 3 levels.

It was just the same with updated graphics, pretty easy though.

I love the commando tune, i must have played the c64 version for a week solid, it was the game i got with the console and had to wait a week till i got my second game (return to fractalus if you were interested).

Yay! I loved the old LucasArts games; Koronis Rift, Rescue on Fractalus and The Eidelon. Funny too, you should try running them on an emulator. Slow? f**k me..

I got Bionic Commando this morning, its great fun, nice graphics too.

I quite like the pseudo-3D they are using and an upgrade of the arm looks fun.

I'll hold my hands up, I'm wrong. Got this on the PC and it's a decent little platformer. Has a certain Amiga'ish feel about it. It's quite odd playing it as there is no jump, when I am sure there was in the original (although I could be wrong).

The only disappointing thing seems to be the lack of a Duke Nukem style voice, as Joe is exactly the character you would want to have it for, there is dialogue, but it's written down and not very good to be honest.

I've only just installed it and played a couple of levels (on hard) so I can't say much other than first impressions, but while fun, I worry how long the game will last.

This is a beast on the hardest level. Not so much that it's hard, just that it's a classic platformer needing all those skills lost in modern games. Certainly enjoying this, got to say.

Co-op looks fun

The "guards" can shoot diagonally, you can't!


That means there could be one on a platform too high above you to reach who can shoot you but you can't shoot him. You can't even shoot directly up. Plus, you can no longer grapple arm the guards.. booo!

Has anyone been playing this? On the hardest level, it's ROCK! I am almost at the point of where I'm tempted to reduce the difficulty level to complete it. And I've not needed to do that since the days of the C64!
