I've been to enough of these types of games over the years to know it could be any sort of line up but i'd think with our current injury problems it'll just be younger lads with trialists and McKeown hopefully making an apperance.

I'm hoping that Lochee United get through the intial rounds of this season's Scottish Cup and get Dundee in a home draw at Thompson Park. Now, that would be worth going to just to see the Dundee fans keech themselves at another United win.

I agree, she is very attractive. And yes, it was good to see big Craig in action at last. Organised the young boys at the back very well. As for the other first team squad members, Forsyth was very good at left back, Mearns was tenacious in midfield and Deasley looked sharp up front. Torres has aged a fair bit since I last saw him. He's still an excellent passer of the ball and curled in a nice free kick for the second goal. He looks out of shape however and I'd be surprised if Rae offers him a deal.

Agree with all that, Mearns was the best I've seen him tonight. Haven't seen that sort of agression from him yet.

We've played 17 times actually, dundee won 6, united 4 with the rest draws, hardly anything to shout about, overall record stands as dundee wins 45 united wins 71.

The more i think about it, you were also given a penalty in the relegation derby when Lovell fouled Ritchie though we still won but it could have been important, and in 2001/02 at dens with United leading 1-0 you were awarded a penalty for a foul 6 yards outside the box to get a draw, its a conspiracy

Actually im being unfair, it wasnt all one way, we were awarded a soft penalty in 03/04(dee boycott game), dodds took a tumble and we got a pen to get a draw aswell, but generall the dee have benefitted more this deacde from decisions in derbies

As already stated finished 4-0, Gavin Burns ex Dundee youngster scored own goal for first, Kiko scored second with free kick that Violet pretty much invited him to pass into the bottom corner. Kev Milne got third and young Danny Casey scored good goal for the fourth.

I'd agree Mearns was best he's been so far.

My opinion on the new boys was -

McKeown - Look comfortable but didn't really have much to do. Organized the defence well, Kyle Benedictus who was next to him in central defence was good aswell. I think Fozzy was happy when he got some peace second half as Craig was barking instructions at him first half. Not really a game to judge him on but he did well.

Kiko - Didn't look match fit but i'm not sure if he ever did when he was with us before. Some lovely passes, was involved in build up for two goals and obviously scored one as well. A couple of great passes and he looked happy to just sit in the midfield and knock it around. If it's a straight choice between him and Pozniak i'm voting for Kiko so far but i hope Alex has a further chance to look at them both.

Don't care what you say, I shall never forget the time Yinited took 1200 (max) a whopping 200 yards across the road to see your team get a proverbial anal beasting. If memory serves me correctly, it was three nil (Sara trick??) and my ever lasting memory was seeing my mates Dad with his head in his hands after the last goal went in, yes it was possible to see him as there really wasn't that many fans.
