Full Version: We Are Up To Our Just Our Shins In Feinian Blood This Year
The Pie Shop > SPL and SFL Football > Rangers v Celtic, Celtic v Rangers
ballymoneyyin
last year a section of the celtic support commented on our home kit socks, as modeled by mr. boyd complaining that the red bit resembles the words of the billy boys song. the lyrics "up to our knees in feinian blood."
this year we have the red part of the sock around our shins. surely the celtic fans have a MASSIVE chip on their shoulders. any views on the subject ?

Looks like his knees to me. As far as the red is concerned its common knowledge this is a metaphor for up to our knees etc.
Why anyone would wish to be knee deep in human blood is quite beyond me.
Some sort of masonic thing probably like the square goalposts which were used at Ibrox for years before UEFA banned them.

Its not common knowledge. Its a made up story from celtic fans.

If it was a metaphor for up to our knees, then the sock would be completely red surely?

I don't think Rangers fans will be changing the song they sing from being up to their knees in fenian blood to being up to their shins in fenian blood huh.gif

My oh my, if the huns' confidence that they would win this game wasn't entirely misplaced! All of my hun mates had been saying that they would do Kaunus, but I knew that it was going to be a very tight ganme, and they're all looking more than a bit ridiculous now. I feel as good now as I did when Celtic won the league last season. This is just a glorious time to be alive.

But is it important whether or not 'we' continue to be up to our knees in fenian blood?
